I remember almost buying this with my launch Xbox. I was like "It'll go free soon, so nah"

Took 5 years but my wait paid off.

Free gamerscore/achievements. It's a very easy 1000G for those achievement hunters :)

It's also a very weird game..

Remember the days when this was hyped by Microsoft for the Xbox One lol? I tried the game some years ago. I suppose some people will have fun with it but it's generally a pass I would say. I wonder what Twisted Pixel is up to nowadays...

I played this at a prelaunch xbox preview event, and it was one of the worst things that Ive ever experienced

I remember people always wanted it to go on Games with Gold when it first started on X1. It only took like 4 years, but people are finally getting it for free, lol.

Nice, I'll finally check it out. I hope one day they make another game as fun as 'Splosion Man.

I enjoyed this when I played in PC a few years ago. Twisted Pixel was one of my favorite devs before they shifted focus to VR, and this has that TP humor that usually did a lot for me.

Ok, the more I think back to my playthrough, I need to stress that this game is very odd. The FMV scenes are something else.

The reveal trailer might have been the coolest and most confusing thing to appear at a non-Devolver E3 adstravaganza. I loved the style and tone of that teaser, so it was pretty darn disappointing when the actual game turned out to be a completely different kind of weird.

Every Twisted Pixel game since Splosion Man has been saddled with what I call Twisted Pixel Bosses. These sometimes appear as mini/final bosses, and sometimes they're chunks of an on-rails level, but either way, they force the player to repeat roughly 6-9 times an identical pattern/dodge/vulnerability combo. Each repeat usually takes a while, too, so these drag on and on. You get stuck doing the same task over and over because they didn't bother building any interesting mechanics. Lococycle is riddled with this. Gunstringer and Wilson's Heart, too.

Damned shame. They're clearly a funny and talented team in terms of coaxing colorful VFX performance out of hardware (360, every Oculus platform), but Lococycle was the nail in their coffin for me. They have a new VR game at Oculus in the works and it's... well... I dunno. Could turn out great, and it's certainly ambitious. But I'm not ready to pass judgement yet.

Doesn't this turn into one of those classic FMV SEGA CD games like halfway through or something?

I LOVE 'Splosion Man and had a ton of fun with Comic Jumper, even though most people seemed to hate it, but this one was too much for me. I can't.

This is one of those games that's so bad that you end up having fun with it, I know I did at least.

The FMW, the voice acting, the story, they're all funnily bad. But all in all, is a short, simple game with easy achievements too.
