Yeah, I got it myself and I'm really having fun with it. Hoping it manages to debut above 10k because it's a great game that deserves more sales.

Yesterday I saw this E3 video where Phil Spencer was talking about improving relations with Japanese devs and said he had to step in after Sony signed a "marketing deal with Capcom for Monster Hunter World", but that Phil somehow talked Capcom in bring it to XB1 as well.

Are these all the details we have on this?

Capcom IR also pointed to significant western marketing expenses for MHW. It really does look like Sony paid for Asain marketing in exchange for exclusivity.

Nintendo's missing the boat a bit when it comes to new Switch colors/bundles.

New joy-con colors are nice, but producing more color variants is always a good way to boost sales and attract more attention.

Price says 35960 yen, I imagine that's the normal price for the bundle.
3 months of Nintendo Online is nice
but that's like less than 10 bucks, lol

early word is that the switch version is the best-selling sku in the west launch-aligned, and not far behind the ps4 + psv launch last year. it's only been a week, but still. it seems a bit like disgaea 5 complete again.

That's fantastic. I hope this means more Ys (and Falcom in general) on the Switch.

i don't really know. i have numbers from.... a long time ago. the psp games did okay (pretty sure ys seven sold the most at around 30k), but i think celceta did the best among them. celceta might be the sales leader on physical formats out in the west until ys viii starts coming down in price.

Not surprised, Celceta was released at a good time on VITA. I almost bought it physically 3 times haha. But there was a better deal on the PStore so I choosed digital instead.

if i were to guess, they'll continue to focus on the ps4 in japan. they don't really need to start working on switch since their userbase is pretty nicely established on playstation. if anything would force them to shift resources over to switch, it would probably be ps5 coming out and selling like xbox one. but even then, the ps4 should have a long life in japan like ps3, psp, and ps vita, so they would just move stuff over to switch 2 instead.

it was one of the main reasons i got a vita, and it was my intro to ys (danganronpa and tearaway being the other two). the 25th anniversary edition is really nice for $20 more.

Yeah they'll always develop for Sony platforms first. Maybe they will allow Xseed/NIS(A) to do more ports of some of their games but I don't see Cold Steel happening on Switch, unless we get the Kai ports somehow. And there's also the Zero/Ao problem. Sigh

Nice. I'll probably get Ys 8 sometime this year, but Octopath Traveler comes first. If I do get Ys, it might be digitally
