Carne Asada Burritos, all day every day. Carne Asada fries are also acceptable.

Bonus points for California burrito.

Chicken Fried Steak. I'd eat it every day if I could.

Texas BBQ and New York style pizza are amazing as well.

I've never had good Tex-Mex anywhere except at cities around the Texas/Mexican border. It's not like......Chicago or New York pizza that can be easily commodified. There's an art to it that depends on the culture....the unique, geographical fusion of cultures, in fact.

I would never ever eat raw fish...

Does Chilli burger count?

When I was in NYC all I would eat was Chilli burger with fries and drink latte machiatto, so basically like if I never left Germany. xD

I had a "triple cheese" pizza once, was surprisingly good but still no contest to Chilli burgers.

Btw did you know American burgers are the best? Something totally different to the ones you'd get in Europe...

From Philly. I love scrapple cut thin with a crunchy finish. Also, nobody - NOBODY- orders cheese wiz for a cheese steak in Philly. It's meat, American or Provolone, onions (wit or wit out) and that's it. Served on an Ameroso roll

wait...are hushpuppies not a thing everywhere?
I never heard of them until I moved to Florida. I'm originally from south Jersey.

I did not realize strombolis and scrapple are regional foods. I love strombolis. My dad used to make scrapple for breakfast a lot and I didn't care for it much when I was a kid, but now I kind of miss it. Not as much as I miss good pizza, though! There's a lot of places in FL that try to imitate NYC pizza, but they always get it wrong. Especially the dough.

Garbage plates are for garbage people

It's hard to choose from all the types of BBQ. They are all delicious.

I haven't had a lot of them. But my favorites are biscuits and gravy, corn pudding, hot chicken, New York pizza, cheesesteak, and basically any kind of barbecue.

If I had to pick just one, it would probably be Kansas City style pulled pork. Barbecue styles have really started merging and mingling, though, and pretty much any kind of pork or beef barbecue with a sweet and spicy sauce is my jam.

That's totally untrue. Any Steve's Steaks is best with whiz.

In the US the correct answer is always BBQ. Regional preference is irrelevant, they're all beautiful in their own way.

I love stuffies!

Stuffed clams (or stuffies) are popular in New England and consist of a breadcrumb and minced clam mixture that is baked on the half shell of a quahog hard shell clam.[1][2][3][4] Other ingredients typically found in the basic breadcrumb mixture are: meat such as sausage, bacon or chouriço (Portuguese sausage), chili pepper, lemon juice, bell peppers, celery, onion, garlic, spices and herbs. There are many different recipes for stuffed clams; many restaurants in New England have their own variety, as do many home cooks.

Not on that list is coffee milk which is something I have to have every morning. Best drink ever.
Coffee milk is a drink made by mixing coffee syrup or coffee extract and milk together in a manner similar to chocolate milk.[1] It is the official state drink in Rhode Island.[2] Coffee syrup is a sweetened coffee concentrate and key ingredient in coffee milk. The syrup is prepared by straining water and sugar through coffee grounds.

If I HAD to pick one thing from this list it would be chicken wings. Buffalo sauce is just amazing.

Close contenders are Poke, New Orleans food, and Hush Puppies.

I'm hungry now. Damn it.

It's this for me:

1. Texas barbecue.
2. New York pizza.
3. Gumbo

Everything else has a long way to go to catch up to these kings of US cuisine.
