I think it's entirely justified by how big this game is content-wise. It's bigger than World will likely ever be and then some.

Seems reasonable, let's hope Capcom is.The game's been up for preload on the eShop since it was announced, so it must be done and certified by now. Meaning it probably started localisation late last year, so it would have predated the crazy World sales. So it must have been done on its own merits, which makes me more positive about Capcom's view of the series.
It will from September on.I doubt it. Switch doesn't natively support voice chat, they'd need to do whatever Epic did.
Do you have a source for that? The website just lists this for Splatoon, and only through the app.
I'd still use Discord.
Patch in something useful like 60fps. No need to worry about crossplay when we won't be playing with JP players or the non-existent 3DS version so there is nothing holding back 60fps.
IIRC World is the first MH game with cross-region play. So it's more like it being turned on for World rather than being turned off for this game. Why won't you be playing with JP players?
On the PS4 you can find them quite often in multiplayer so I'd be surprised if it was turned off for switch.

Also, FPS shouldn't affect "crossplay" I think.
The localizations for the previous games split the player base between Japan and the west, due to the various promotional quests in Japan that can't get licensed for use overseas. Some of those items and equipment pieces even undergo full-on model changes that keep the functionality but remove all traces of their source material. MHW is the first game that hasn't done that, but it also hasn't done any big tie-ins to non-gaming items, aside from the usual USJ event. Why won't you be playing with JP players?

I see, I didn't know that.IIRC World is the first MH game with cross-region play. So it's more like it being turned on for World rather than being turned off for this game.
I don't think that's right. I remember playing with Japanese dudes at night when playing 4U.IIRC World is the first MH game with cross-region play. So it's more like it being turned on for World rather than being turned off for this game.
60fps would be amazing, though. MH4U has an unlocked framerate and uses the same engine, so it should be theoretically possible to patch it into this.
It was definitely region locked in 3U. Never played 4U thoughI don't think that's right. I remember playing with Japanese dudes at night when playing 4U.
You must remember incorrectly to be honest, as 4U definitely split the servers between West and Japan. Either that or these Japanese players had the western version for whatever reason. Or you had the Japanese one? What 4U was the first game to do was merging Europe and America into one Wstern server - 3U was three regions, three servers.I don't think that's right. No, I had one I bought from GameStop in NYC. I do remember playing with some guys and their names were kanji. You must remember incorrectly to be honest, as 4U definitely split the servers between West and Japan. I'm talking about the app, yes. On September it will be open for any game that supports it. That's been the plan since it was announced, it being Splatoon-only was only for the beta period.Do you have a source for that? The website just lists this for Splatoon, and only through the app.
There's no evidence of that? Only their app.
Yes it does. Epic isn't doing anything, other than using an SDK function that was recently available to developersI doubt it. Switch doesn't natively support voice chat, they'd need to do whatever Epic did.
The game runs at 30 FPS in Japan because the game has Cross Play with the Japanese 3DS version that also runs at 30 FPS so the hope is that we get the game updated to 60 FPS here in the West since the 3DS version isn't being brought over to the West therefore we wont get any cross play with any 3DS version so the "excuse" to lock the game to 30 FPS is gone and there shouldn't be any good reason why they couldn't get a simple upscaled 3DS game to run at 60 FPS on the Switch Hardware. Why won't you be playing with JP players?

What should we call this? Victim acting before anyone says anything?
Wait, why would we blame the OS? The OS supports it... and what does the network have to do with it? Works fine in Fortnite, and I don't think that used some alien network.

I doubt that. They need to use their own voice codec so they can have proper cross-chat.Yes it does. Epic isn't doing anything, other than using an SDK function that was recently available to developers
That's not how it works...the Switch has a DMIC (Digital Mic Controller) built into the Tegra X1 chip. People have hacked Splatoon 2 and found it to support voice control. The HW natively supports voice control, it just doesn't have a built in micI doubt that. They need to use their own voice codec so they can have proper cross-chat.

You keep saying that, but I'm not quite sure you know what it means.Do you think Capcom will do the same to Generations Ultimate, or is it just another rom dump release from Capcom on Switch?
