I think I still vaguely remember the commercials for this before it aired. Keith David telling the character that there are 37 techniques that can be done with a cape or something. I really think that number is accurate as well. The show seemed so silly just by commercials that I never wanted to give it a shot.

Young women are single-handedly trying to save Love Island.

Also, Jane the Virgin will air their final 2 episodes on July 31st.

Speaking of criminally underloved shows, someone needs to revive "Bent" with Amanda Peet and David Walton, who's with me?!

The exclusive streaming home to a string of new Warner Bros.' produced dramas for The CW beginning with the fall 2019 season, including the highly-anticipated new DC Entertainment series "Batwoman," and "Katy Keene" (spinoff of "Riverdale")
Not exactly shocking but I wonder if the CW will survive in its current form for long if Warner goes all in on HBOMAXEDOUTRADICALMAN

I just wonder if the CW shows will be up on HBO Max after they air or if it will be the same deal as Netflix where they are up on the service a few weeks after the season ends
I'd be sad if they stop adding the shows to the CW site after they air for free with ads. That's how I watch most of their shows now.

Could be really good.

i mean... this is a show i would never watch in a million years. that sounds horrific, i don't want to watch a show about a teenager suffering rape and the investigations around it. am i totally out of touch or is there an audience for that kind of thing? I do feel out of touch, I know 13 reasons why and the Central Park shows were extremely popular on Netflix but I just wanna watch netflix to escape reality, not become debilitated by how awful people can be.

Basically where I'm at. I was more into "difficult subjects" when I was younger but, the older I've gotten and actually had to deal with things, I rarely will sit down to watch TV or a movie if it's about something serious.

Hopefully Sky's involvement will prevent this from being as comically edgy as Euphoria.

IIRC, it's the same deal as Netflix, a few weeks after the season ends. The CW app should stay as is for now :)

Ted Danson To Star In L.A. Mayor Comedy Series From Tina Fey & Robert Carlock At NBC
Three of NBC's iconic comedy veterans are teaming on a new series. The network has given a straight-to-series order to a comedy starring The Good Place's Ted Danson, from Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, 3 Arts Entertainment and Universal Television.

Written by Fey and Carlock (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), the as-yet untitled comedy stars Danson as a wealthy businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles for all the wrong reasons. Once he wins he has to figure out what he stands for, gain the respect of his staff, and connect with his teenage daughter, all while controlling the coyote population.

When I think Nancy Drew, I definitely think dark and sexy.

To paraphrase Lindsay Ellis, this is hot mystery that fucks.
I know I have been dragging this up at every opportunity but it's a good comic dammit. the noir-ish take on Nancy Drew in The Big Lie worked really well and I'm unironically excited to see the CW spin on her... I do realise that my claim about unironical about this is slightly undermined by the whole tay-tay in CATS avatar that I'm sporting right now.

You know what was a great show? Weeds. Shame they cancelled it after 3 seasons. 🤔
