Is Ellen so far the 2nd most successful tv show host turned producer we've had, hasnt felt anything she's attached to has failed (unless Im missing something).
CBS shows seems interesting, hope theyu changed things up and the blue collar contractor is female. Cast the star from secret & lies as the psychologist please.
Well Ellen died the year after she came out because it got super preachy, and her follow up sitcom The Ellen Show failed pretty fast.

I was surprised a few weeks ago when it was shown that it will star Lainey. I guess that backdoor pilot on The Goldbergs wasn't what they wanted. Unless maybe they didn't want to reveal anything about Lainey's character on The Goldbergs in relation to this show.

Wednesday night's ratings. ABC was really steady last night (well, up until 9:30pm ET). Looks like Schooled did very well. The Masked Singer continues to impress:
FOX struck gold with the masked singer just hope it wasnt too expensive for them, also seems like a social media phenomenon.
Yeah I'm hooked on The Masked Singer. Pretty sure I got 90% of the cast figured out which ruins some of the fun but it will be cool to see if I'm right!

Great news.. I just started rewatching season 1 and while bottom tier, B99 has joined the ranks of the office, parks and rec, community. Modern sitcoms that I'll gladly rewatch.
That looks fun, guess it'll be the second YouTube original I'll follow since they started making them.

Atlanta and Adventure Time I question on the use of "drama". Other sites had Atlanta under comedy.
Fantastic list, and definitely should be used as a primer for the past decade's TV - the shout-outs to Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies and Halt are especially satisfying to see.

I get it. I'm not even going to try and defend the show, although I had less issues with it than others, but it was a formative series and changed the way a lot of people viewed television. I get the impression at least some of the list is more about how they were viewed at the time or changed television watching than there intrinsic value in this moment
Yeah, otherwise The West Wing shouldn't be on there. Post-Obama and with Trump in the White House, having someone write this:
is so anachronistic as to defy belief. I get that's why the series was loved during its initial run - Bush and 9/11 - but to praise a political drama for those reasons now is just odd, to put it mildly.

Also, it's hilarious to see critics bend over backwards to pretend Louie no longer exists even though it's one of the most acclaimed and influential shows of the modern era.
The shows that Louie influenced are a lot better than it and is not made by Louis CK so it being ignored is no biggie.
Louie is one of the most acclaimed shows of all time - critics r a v e d about it every season it was on the air. Atlanta may have eclipsed it in acclaim, but to pretend that Louie was some blip on the radar that can easily be tossed aside because it was never that good anyway is revisionism of the highest order.
It would be like throwing The Cosby Show aside like it wasn't a HUGE deal just because Bill Cosby turned out to be a piece of shit.
Nice to see Battlestar Galactica still making these lists. It will have been off the air for a decade as of this March.
As it should be. There are very few dramas in television history that have had the cultural impact that Lost had.
