Hyundai used to be junk and now they are pretty good. Its only a matter of time KIA crosses the line. Is it this car? Someone else can be the guinea pig.
Kia's are good cars now. Have been for several yearsHyundai used to be junk and now they are pretty good. Its only a matter of time KIA crosses the line. Is it this car? Someone else can be the guinea pig.
What are you talking about? Kia has come a long long way. Current Kia cars are way way better than most American cars.
That hasn't been true in YEARS. Way to forward a false narrative.
The only Stinger worth getting would be the GT, which is typically $40K+ sitting on the lot. That's a fair bit of change for a Kia. Not hating - it's a fine looking vehicle and they have as solid warranty. But a lot of cars are purchased on brand status - either as a luxury brand or an "AMERICAN CAR" or "German," or reliable or performance or whatever. You buy this, and as silly as it is, you'll always have people seeing it as nothing more than a "Kia."

The MPG is comparable to other luxury cars in the same class.

Literally the entire point of this car is to counteract this attitude, lol
Ahhh. They don't have base Stinger in Canada, just GT. Weird...The MPG is comparable to other luxury cars in the same class.

They will need a lot more than a powerful car to reverse a decade of shoddy vehicles.Literally the entire point of this car is to counteract this attitude, lol

lol full disclosure: my dad owned a Kia in the 90's. It was addled with problems. Biggest one being the engine turning off while driving in the middle of the road because of carburetor problem that no one could fix. Fun times. But currently I drive Honda and have a Tesla Model 3 reserved.

The economy is a bit better than you might expect, the equipment levels are higher than you'd imagine, and it's hard really to find fault. Maybe the interior is a bit grey and maybe the exterior isn't quite as handsome as all the other Kias. I especially didn't like the fake bonnet vents. Or how hard it was to see out of the back window.
But that really is about it. Everything else was either delightful or wonderful or better than I was expecting. If you were in the market for a BMW M3, or a fast Audi or a Mercedes-AMG, it's certain you'd be better off with the Kia. But of course you wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. A Kia? What the hell would the neighbours think?
