I watched the first episode but haven't gone further because I have so much else on my plate. Want to focus on it fully after I finish a couple of other shows. The first episode seemed pretty interesting. I was bothered by the English dubbing (the show defaults to it). Everything seemed a bit off from the start but due to what happens in the intro/at first, it took until an early lecture scene for me to notice that it IS a dubbing. Luckily it has the OG voices as well, so that's not an issue (subtitles FTW).

Dubbing is the reason Lucifer fell from grace and became Satan.

Dubbing is and created evil is what I'm saying. Use subtitles people!

That reminds me I need to watch Lucifer Season 4 one of these days

My mom and I watched "High Seas" a Spanish show from Netflix with the dubs on because mom hates using subtitles when she's doing other stuff, and it wasn't bad except for the fact that voices don't match up with their lips at all so I can't actually watch the screen. XD

This is why I prefer subs DX

I still haven't gotten around to watching Paddington 2 because I want to watch the first film first but it's Finnish/Swedish dub-only on Netflix here in Finland. -_- Weirdly the second film does have the OG voices so I'm not sure why that choice for the first one. :/

This might have gotten lost in the news of renewals, but both THR and Deadline estimate that, between this deal and the deal for L&O material on Peacock, NBCUniversal is paying $1 BILLION to keep Dick Wolf on board.

Dick Wolf Inks Massive New Deal; ‘Chicago’ Franchise, ‘SVU’ Renewed for 3 More Seasons

Following lengthy renegotiations, Dick Wolf is staying put at Universal TV. The procedural king has signed what sources describe as a "monstrous" new five-year overall deal that will see his Wolf Entertainment continue to create and develop new projects for the NBCUniversal-owned studio.

‘Day of the Dead’ TV Series a Go at Syfy

The NBCUniversal-owned basic cable network has handed out straight-to-series orders for Day of the Dead — an ode to George A. Romero's 1985 feature — and fellow genre drama The Surrealtor. Both series are low-cost co-productions from indie studios that afford Syfy the flexibility to take swings. Both shows will launch in 2021.

Day of the Dead tells the story of six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion. The 10-episode series is produced by Cartel Entertainment, the film and TV production, management and financing company behind Shudder's Creepshow, among others.

Raven's Home creators Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas are set to write and serve as showrunners. Cartel partners Stan Spry and Jeff Holland as well as Drew Brown executive produce on behalf of the company, along with Robert Dudelson, James Dudelson, Jordan Kizwani from HiTide Studios.

The Surrealtor, meanwhile, revolves around real estate agent Nick Roman and an elite team of specialists who handle the cases that no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating and "fixing" the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure — and closings — as they struggle with demons of their own.

Lucifer Bosses Officially on Board for Potential Season 6 at Netflix

'Lucifer' co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have closed new deals to return for a potential sixth season at Netflix

If Lucifer returns for a sixth season at Netflix, it will do so with its primary creative team in tact.

TVLine has learned exclusively that co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have closed new deals to remain at the helm of the death-defying drama for a potential Season 6. News of the pair's freshly inked pact paves the way for the series' official Season 6 renewal at Netflix, although one big obstacle remains: Leading man Tom Ellis does not yet have a deal to return. I'm told negotiations between the actor and Warner Bros. Television continue and all sides are expecting a positive outcome.

The renewals for the Chicago shows, and SVU were mentioned already, but I don't believe Wolf's new deal was (except through the link posted).

I'll say what I did before, I am happy for the massive Chicago renewals as I do watch all three. But I am also reserved until I hear status on the contracts for the actors. Would hate to see the 3 year renewals and have a number of the main actors from the shows leave.

Is it really? It seems like a lot of shows and content for just $1BLN versus like 1 or 2 shows for $1BLN. Wonder what his end cut is for it.

Curious if any of these shows are actually filmed in Chicago and feed back into that economy.

Looks like America Ferrara is leaving Superstore

America Ferrera to Exit ‘Superstore’ After Current Season

She has been with the show since it launched and is also an executive producer in addition to directing multiple episodes.

Shame, the ensemble works well. I can maybe see it working without her, but never easy for sitcoms to replace leads, and Superstore has only been getting better and better each season.

Courteney Cox to Lead Starz Horror Comedy Pilot 'Shining Vale'

The half-hour series follows a dysfunctional family that moves from the city to a small town into a house in which terrible atrocities have taken place. But no one seems to notice except for Pat (Cox), who's convinced she's either depressed or possessed.

Pat is further described as former "wild child" who rose to fame by writing a raunchy, drug-and-alcohol-soaked women's empowerment novel. Fast forward 17 years later, Pat is clean and sober but totally unfulfilled. She still hasn't written her second novel, she can't remember the last time she had sex with her husband, and her teenage kids are at that stage where they love their vile friends and want you dead. She was a faithful wife until her one slip-up: a torrid 15-night-stand with a hot, young artist/handyman/musician neighbor. In a last-ditch effort to save her marriage, she and her family move from the "crazy" of the city to a large, old house in the suburbs.

I think the show is fine without Ferrera, she was always the straight man character anyways, so they will need someone to fill that particular role, but if the writing staff stays the same and the rest of the cast is there, I think the magic of the show can be maintained.

‘Hawaii Five-0’ to End After Current Season on CBS

The series will air a two-hour finale on April 3.

Damn, that's a shame. Really have enjoyed the show. I thought it would sink after Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park left, but I think it has gotten even better.

Usually you will get a 'renewed for last season' for long and successful shows like this. I have a feeling CBS wanted to renew it again, but have been trying to extend O'Loughlin before they announced it. You can't have Hawaii Five-0 without McGarrett. And he's probably had enough. I'm surprised he went this long.

Will miss my Five-O fix every week. :(

What the fuck?! That's very shocking! She's first billing and is a producer on the show! How could she leave?

This is really unexpected, and curious what they'll do to write her out.

I kinda hope it doesn't happen, five seasons is a good run and when the fifth was announced as the last the writers would obviously wrap everything up. How far into production of season 5 are they? Is there time to rewrite the final episodes somthat a potential season six wouldn't feel tagged on?

What the fuck?! That's very shocking! She's first billing and is a producer on the show! How could she leave?
Maybe she wants to concentrate more on producing and directing, she also does that on a new Netflix show. Being a series regular on a network show probably eats up a lot of her time.

I assume she will get some kind of major promotion and/or job offer from another company that will cause her to leave the area. Typical "OMG this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You need to follow your dream" that seems to show up frequently in these situations.

The straight man is the most difficult person to replace.

Hulu will be my new friend for SharkTank.

I've actually been watching hulu a ton at work cause I do something along in a room for three-four hours a day. (any suggestions are welcome as all I've been doing is watching a gay movie on it, or rewatching anime like BLeach from the start)
