PSA: Don't watch the new Goop show on Netflix under any circumstances. Nobody should watch this. Ever. Even for curiosity, or ironically. Let's not send any signal to Netflix that this kind of shit can be successful.

Yep, just saw this. Apparently in November TVLine reported it was not getting another season, though "Thomas is not ruling out the possibility of more Veronica Mars down the line." Well... the whole supposed point of
the finale death was to create a new status quo where Veronica was off on her own solving mysteries because, to paraphrase, PIs can't solve mysteries with their SO. Personally I think that's an uncreative reason and emotionally I thought it was a bunch of crap, but I've been shipping those two - and probably almost no other couples in TVdom - for 15 years so I think my displeasure with it is understandable. Didn't help that the killer reveal was so unsatisfying.
At least iZombie had an uber-satisfying and complete story (as another Rob Thomas show).
Didn't realize it had been cancelled, but honestly it's for the best. That last season... fucking yikes. What a travesty.
Does the FDA or whatever not investigate any of these claims?
I know it was reported to UK regulators when Goop tried to enter the European market back in 2018.

I think it has to do with Netflix only caring about viewer numbers. Which makes it all the more important to never click "play" on this show.
I think the most salient question is: why the fuck Netflix is paying for the privilege of airing what is effectively Goop infomercials?
My understanding is the FDA is slowly looking at more homeopathic stuff but mostly only when it's advertised as addressing serious medical conditions. A lot of this stuff skates by thanks to never making real claims or just having disclaimers saying that nothing has been verified by the FDA. Plus, all kinds of opposition to government bureaucracy, regulation, etc.
Only reasoning is they think current Goopers will sub to watch it. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

My guess is Brad Falchuk is effectively blackmailing them to do so.

Oh wow. Did not expect this to get a Season 2, but I'm glad that it did.
I still have a FB account for what it's worth (so it's not that), but it's just not a platform I'd ever go to watch a show. I imagine it has some sort of standalone app somewhere but I've not seen it on my TV and frankly have no interest in downloading it even if it exists since it's such a specific use case. This was always a losing proposition for them.

Why would they need to pivot? Something for everyone is pretty much Netflix's mantra.

If I had Apple TV+, I would check this out. Still no desire to sign up for it. It has been interesting to see the main Always Sunny cast get their own shows, with the exception of Charlie and Frank.
Pretty good summation of everything that's went down in streaming recently.
They really played fast and loose with a lot of the BDSM stuff, just kind of doing whatever was funniest despite the fact that there are hard rules that everyone has to follow in professional BDSM settings.

911 Lone Star had a great start, TK was instantly lovable since he's hot but also its good have a gay chara in some lead role, and i think its the first show I've seen with a trans character.
