Hey, if Lisa Simpson can rise to the presidency after falsely claiming to be an American Indian, why can't Elizabeth Warren?
Now that you mention it. I wouldn't be surprised if that expression was trained, to make viewers identify with Tucker more.He really does only have one expression: he looks like he's a little slow, and is trying to follow what the person's saying, but still doesn't quite understand.
official policy is that all 2020 primary candidate news that would otherwise be threads get subsumed into this thread unless they're announcing their campaignWhy was the Elizabeth Warren claiming to be American Indian thread closed? New news. It's weird to close that thread IMO, but what do I know?
We don't want a million primary threads turning into a million defacto OTs, hence this thread. Why was the Elizabeth Warren claiming to be American Indian thread closed? New news. It's weird to close that thread IMO, but what do I know?
I wish they would do that for Trump news.official policy is that all 2020 primary candidate news that would otherwise be threads get subsumed into this thread unless they're announcing their campaign
e: or unless it's a debate!
Huh! That's a good point. Now that you mention it. I wouldn't be surprised if that expression was trained, to make viewers identify with Tucker more.
Releasing that report may honestly be one of the greatest political gaffes ever. So much fallout from a completely misguided decision.
Well that was newsworthy. There shouldn't be a thread about Corey Booker's new ad or Khamala Harris' proposed new policy. But Warren's thing is new and interesting and shouldn't be dumped in the middle of a huge thread that not a lot of people go in.official policy is that all 2020 primary candidate news that would otherwise be threads get subsumed into this thread unless they're announcing their campaign
e: or unless it's a debate!
Yeah but not everyone wants to get in a gigantic thread and many will miss the news even if it was - temporarily - added to the thread title. The only reason I knew that happened is because I saw the old thread and clicked on it. I'm not trying to backseat mod though, I was just wondering. New news, new thread is what I always heard, so it made sense to me that it had its own thread. We don't want a million primary threads turning into a million defacto OTs, hence this thread.
Debates will get their own threads and once the voting starts then this OT gets closed and it's off to the races.
Especially if you consider Tucker bringing liberals on his show... just staring at them with a mix of confusion/disgust is probably exactly what Fox News viewers would find agreeable
I don't care enough to watch tucker, I just watched the SNL skit about him, and noticed that every. damn. screenshot. is of him with that "um....What" look.Especially if you consider Tucker bringing liberals on his show... just staring at them with a mix of confusion/disgust is probably exactly what Fox News viewers would find agreeable
You're basically a seasoned Tucker watcher then lolI don't care enough to watch tucker, I just watched the SNL skit about him, and noticed that every. damn. screenshot. is of him with that "um....What" look.
haha, good, I skip the part where I actually watch him then. Lucky me.
Because purity tests are only bad for some candidates and not for others. What benefit is putting native American on a bar card other than being proud of your heritage? Many people are told they have Native American blood as children so of course they believe it.
I'm sure there are Native American affirmative action programmes in these situations. It can be seen as fraudulent to lie about your race. What benefit is putting native American on a bar card other than being proud of your heritage? I mean there’s no way for me to read that form and see it as asking for anything other than your primary race. She should not have put that down. What benefit is putting native American on a bar card other than being proud of your heritage? Many people are told they have Native American blood as children so of course they believe it.
She didnt endorse him in 16, she for sure wouldnt endorse him now when he is a far weaker candidate than 16.Warren should endorse Sanders and just move on. Don’t let WS win.
You have a problem. Bernie isn’t your enemy! She didnt endorse him in 16, she for sure wouldnt endorse him now when he is a far weaker candidate than 16.
A vast majority of terrorism perpetrated in the US has been done by white supremacists and the like."We need to end bigotry because it's a threat to the state" is, uh, quite the interpretation.
Spot the lie tho"We need to end bigotry because it's a threat to the state" is, uh, quite the interpretation.
It’s basic facts tho.
"We need to end bigotry because it's a threat to the state" is, uh, quite the interpretation.
I don't want to backseat mod but maybe we need a political subforum? That way it's not flooding Etcera. I agree that the news is moving way too fast for all of it to be lumped into one thread but I also agree that having a thread for literally every newsworthy item isn't a good solution either.Well that was newsworthy. There shouldn't be a thread about Corey Booker's new ad or Khamala Harris' proposed new policy. But Warren's thing is new and interesting and shouldn't be dumped in the middle of a huge thread that not a lot of people go in.

Edit: I read this is a few more times and I get what she's saying but the phrasing and verbiage throws me off despite being factually correct.
"We need to end bigotry because it's a threat to the state" is, uh, quite the interpretation.
The vast majority of violence is done by the state to its citizens. The difference is that it's legal.A vast majority of terrorism perpetrated in the US has been done by white supremacists and the like.
I'm not taking issue with the the fact that these things happened, but rather that that is the reason action needs to be taken, and the implications of placing the impetus there.
Some people are just lodged up their own asses
Is he a big deal or is this just some trash Twitter take? Holy shit, I'm all for pointing out MLK was socialist but for the love of fuck realise that was due to the institutionalised racism against black people leaving them torn from their land, enslaved, then left with fucking nothing after building the country. Maybe don't invoke his name when trash talking a black candidate who fought against (and almost won) a ridiculous racist and crooked election to empower black communities. Is there a list somewhere of American politicians who are acceptable besides Bernie and now AOC?

I wonder if Trump's team already had this info locked and loaded, and that's why he really wanted Warren to be his opponent in 2020?
I predict single digits for Amy
White supremacy is what links them both together, it's how you get white power groups infiltrating police forces and the FBI. Which are bad enough on their own.The vast majority of violence is done by the state to its citizens. The difference is that it's legal.
Understatement of the century.White people gonna continue invoking MLK to take down other blacks. I've seen it from centrists and now I've seen it from socialists.
White supremacy is a hell of a drug.
White Centrist: "Why can't you be more civil and inspiring like MLK"
White Socialist: "Why can't you be a proper socialist like MLK"
Racism isn't linked to any specific ideology. Life would be miles easier if it was. There's plenty of racists all over the spectrum.White people gonna continue invoking MLK to take down other blacks. I've seen it from centrists and now I've seen it from socialists.

Lol at infiltrating the FBI as if it weren’t created by white supremacists in the first place.White supremacy is what links them both together, it's how you get white power groups infiltrating police forces and the FBI. Which are bad enough on their own.
"Neoliberal" has lost all meaning. It says more about the person using the term than who they are describing. Is there a list somewhere of American politicians who are acceptable besides Bernie and now AOC?

Ergo, my second sentence.Lol at infiltrating the FBI as if it weren’t created by white supremacists in the first place.
Thank You!"Neoliberal" has lost all meaning. It says more about the person using the term than who they are describing.
