Definitely disappointing by Warren. When it came out she should have just said she was mistaken about her ancestry and it was a mistake to list that as race.

Releasing that report may honestly be one of the greatest political gaffes ever. So much fallout from a completely misguided decision.
Well that was newsworthy. There shouldn't be a thread about Corey Booker's new ad or Khamala Harris' proposed new policy. But Warren's thing is new and interesting and shouldn't be dumped in the middle of a huge thread that not a lot of people go in.
Yeah but not everyone wants to get in a gigantic thread and many will miss the news even if it was - temporarily - added to the thread title. The only reason I knew that happened is because I saw the old thread and clicked on it. I'm not trying to backseat mod though, I was just wondering. New news, new thread is what I always heard, so it made sense to me that it had its own thread.
Especially if you consider Tucker bringing liberals on his show... just staring at them with a mix of confusion/disgust is probably exactly what Fox News viewers would find agreeable
I don't care enough to watch tucker, I just watched the SNL skit about him, and noticed that every. damn. screenshot. is of him with that "um....What" look.
Alright, this is the second time I've seen Warren use minorities to her own political or career advantage, the two instances being 30 or so years apart. That's awful. She's gotta get out of this race ASAP and just be happy she doesn't lose her entire career over what I suspect will be more oppo-droppo leaks if she sticks around.

I mean there’s no way for me to read that form and see it as asking for anything other than your primary race. She should not have put that down.
She didnt endorse him in 16, she for sure wouldnt endorse him now when he is a far weaker candidate than 16.

I don't want to backseat mod but maybe we need a political subforum? That way it's not flooding Etcera. I agree that the news is moving way too fast for all of it to be lumped into one thread but I also agree that having a thread for literally every newsworthy item isn't a good solution either.
Edit: I read this is a few more times and I get what she's saying but the phrasing and verbiage throws me off despite being factually correct.
The vast majority of violence is done by the state to its citizens. The difference is that it's legal.
I'm not taking issue with the the fact that these things happened, but rather that that is the reason action needs to be taken, and the implications of placing the impetus there.
