I presume domination from Cuphead in most of the categories it's nominated.

Not that these awards mean much. What's the difference between Best Game Design and Best Direction? Who are the people nominated for that, even?

For Honor for animation? That's pretty cool. It's going to lose to Cuphead, but cool nonetheless.

The DICE awards generally slant towards giving awards to AAA games don't they? But it's nice to see indies in the nominations at least.

I'd say the two vocal tracks alone in Odyssey put it above 3D World, but neither come close to the Galaxy games.

Either way, the music category for this award show is an utter embarrassment that lacks pretty much all of the best soundtracks from last year.

Personally a game soundtrack should be seen as a whole. The two vocal tracks alone do not put it above 3D World, in fact I feel their is better tracks in 3D World alone then those two. (End Credits, Bowser World 8, And a couple other the names escape me).

Edit: I just saw the nominees. Well, those are somthing.

As someone that doesn't love Nier's soundtrack, it should be there.
As someone that loves Persona 5 soundtrack, I'm ok with it not being there, it's rather slim and lacking, it's just that the highs are very high.

Nier absent from music and Resident Evil 7 no where to be seen for VR.

Oh well. At least they were recognized properly at The Game Awards.

Music category is weird. I get it that Xeno2 didn't get in due to late release date, but no Nier, no Persona 5? Come on guys.
