Something else that was also mentioned, as there were several discussions here recently on these things.

Subscription numbers are above 3.5 million, well above Sony's 700,000. So those charts that were being shared around are super misleading. :)

Not surprising taking into account it is the best way to get yearly Fifa / Madden / sports games lol

That was known from the start when you consider Xbox Game Pass last known numbers. They fibbed just a tad for that chart.

No one really cares about physical games in my circle. We're all digital. I was the last convert. Just too convenient.

The only time I hear about people buying physical stuff is on ERA. It's jarring lol.

Is there a reason Zhuge is putting $EA in his tweets? You know as opposed to EA.

It was one of the most ridiculous 'facts' ive ever seen on here. The thread was hilarious with people falling over themselves to ignore basic common sense.

Funny, how after all those attempts to push digital distribution (through very aggressive discounts on PSN/XBL) and making online-focused games only, physical releases are still 51%. In 2019 :)

Hopefully both can co-exist.

It's different for other pubs btw. Sony for example only has a 37% digital ratio.

Falling over what? A revenue chart where PSNow used to cost $20 a month, $45 for 3 mo this and roughly $120+ a year. While EA access is $35 a year?

People were falling for not reading apparently

It's to indicate the ticker symbol for the stock market.

When people say $MSFT they genuinely talk about Microsoft stock or the company in financial related matter.
When People say M$ they just want to mock Microsoft.

Great news for EA today I would say. I'm so happy. If their after market gains hold to the morning I'll make more money in 1 day trading their stock than I've spent on video games in 5 years.

Knowing a lot about video games can truly get you paid.

Bug some analysts said that PlayStation Now is the biggest service by a wide margin...

I really doubt that info, because xbox gamepass and ea acess have more subs. I dont Know anyone that subs psnow, but i know a lot that subs gamepass and ea acess.

How do things like sales factor into these sorts of numbers. I know that if I buy a game at launch 99% of the time I'm buying it physical. If the game is six months old and on sale for $20 I'm far more likely to get it digitally as I dont pay attention to sales happening in retail stores.

I can't imagine digital has that much more to grow, Internet caps are still awful for most gamers. Are there really that many people sitting down for a day waiting for 50gb downloads?

You mean the two months it was only on sale at starting last September?

No.
The new and cheaper $99 yearly subscription plan was introduced in December 2015.
The covered period of that Superdata chart was July - September 2018.
Of course you can also get the yearly subscription occasionally on sale for just $80 or $60, but that is not even the point.

PS Now has 700k subscriber as of March 2019 with 40% YoY growth.
So in March 2018 the service was at 500k.
Between July and September 2018? 550k - 600k
Monthly ASP for the services? $9 - $14

Total revenue of $15 to $30 million
Superdata estimate was 142 million

Maybe you should google again?

The regular MSRP is $99 yearly, $45 three months and $20 one month for years now.
This is quite off-topic tho.
