I'm not exactly Bethesda's biggest fan but this sounds fake. A sub studio making space combat in "another engine" (because everyone is talking about engines) only for Maryland to "throw a fit," stuff about executives wanting lootboxes, and trivia about Robert Altman that is literally on his Wikipedia page.

Possibly untrue (4chan lol), but it sounds extremely convincing and I would express less than zero surprise if it was all confirmed.

Yup, the whole thing reads like a fan fiction capitalizing on the upheaval fallout76 has caused.

Seems like a laundry list of things people who really want Bethesda to fail would want to hear.

That's not to say it isn't true, just that all of it seems super convenient and paints the entire company as such an unbelievable mess that I have a hard time buying it, even though I kind of hate Bethesda.

I don't know how you could read that and think it's legit. It reads like a shitty copypasta.

This reads like it was written for YouTube rage porn. It plays into anti-MTX paranoia so much that I have to doubt its authenticity. "Implement loot boxes or be subject to physical violence"? Yeah, ok.

This has been a rumor for about a couple months or so. I have been hearing the same but without some type of confirmation. So, at this point, it is nothing but hearsay.

To me, it seems there is a break down in communication between devs.

Real or not I don't doubt there is trouble at Bethesda after that shit show of a game just came out. AAA developers aren't gonna pump out such a disaster if there isn't trouble brewing. AAA developers can and have made bad games, but not like Fallout 76.

Prey was amazing with CryEngine. A SyFy masterpiece.

If their old shit is causing so much problems they should just move Starfield over to Cry or any other engine.

It went off the rails at the end there with terrorism and stuff.
Seems shady but who knows. Again, just random people talking on the internet.
I can make one post like that saying Apple is about to buy Nintendo or something.

Yeah, bullshit.

Not discounting that Starfield may have some engine related issues but the sounds like hyperbolic nonsense.
