Damn, wanted to go check out Sherlock some time but I just can't when you got all these truly huge games out today. Plus I would need to get GP anyway.

Before someone complains, games were never meant to stay forever. It's like Netflix, HBO, or anything else that cycles the lineup. Although the first party games are likely permanent just like the Netflix and HBO produced shows/movies.

Guess I need to play RE0 before the month ends. I own MM10 through legacy 2 and I can care less about everything else.

I would guess the first parties are permanent unless some licensing issues occur with the Forza games being the most recent example. I would hope they would negotiate the rights with GP in mind but at the same time infinite music/car rights would probably be beyond expensive to do.

Shit. I bought the costume pack for RE0 when it was on sale two weeks ago and figured I'd play the game on gamepass :/

A shame because RE0 has had a glitch for a while that completely restart your xbox one once you get to the top of the train cutscene (so like 10-15 minutes into the game lol). Never got to really play it

This seems reasonable to me. Microsoft even makes it easy for you to buy the game to own even if you have it through Game Pass.

Play Brothers. I think you can beat it in like 4-5 hours and it does things that only video games can do from a narrative perspective. It's amazing!

Always wanted to try The Technomancer. Maybe I should. Never played Resident Evil 0 either, but horror games and me are a difficult combination anyways. Have played Brothers, This War of Mine - try both out if you haven't!

You can knock out Brothers, RE0, and Mega Man 10 by the end of a long weekend, let alone a month. The rest are real disposable.

EDIT: Didn't mean to shade This War of Mine so hard. It's a great idea for a game that just didn't resonate with what I want out of a game.

Wow this puts gamepass in perspective. So you download a game and can no longer play it once it leaves Gamepass? Even if it's on your HDD? That sucks. So how long does the average game stay on the service?

So they can remove games from the service? Wow. If I ever bought Xbox in the future, I would definitely rethink the service. GwG would seem to be the better proposition in my opinion.

The best way to think about GamePass is that it is a game subscription service, similar to Netflix but for games.

Will be replaced by Mutant Year Zero and Ashen so good trade. This will push me to finally play RE0 and Brothers which I've delayed playing.

I mean, it has always been known that this was the case, games leave and games come on. I think the shortest so far has been like 4ish months?

It's a rotating list of games like Netflix does.

However I don't expect to see MS games like Sea of Thieves etc ever leaving the service.

Interesting. I was under the impression it was like PS Now where the library remained static and you just lost access if your sub lapsed. Learn something new.
