I'm ready for Janelle Monae to lose to Post Malone, because that's the fucking trash heap of a world we live in.

I still can't believe Post and Drake got AOTY noms, so obvious how the Grammys are trying to make up for ignoring hip hop in the past , yet they have a brain and nominate Daytona for RAOTY? All over the place

I got bored and decided to listen to all the albums nominated for album of the year. That Kacey Musgraves album is actually really good

The GaGa sweep is definitely coming (and a General Field Grammy win is incredibly deserved for her).

Happy for Sweetener!

I would be a-OK with this though I fear a backlash that another "safe"white artist wins AOTY, it was a great album though. Even if jt wasn't " simpler" than someone of the other noms there should be a place for that kind of music to be celebrated
Honestly, she probably wouldn't get a massive backlash. She was vocally LGBT supportive for a long time, her album had a lot of acclaim, and it's got crossover appeal.

The backlash for safe white artists winning would happen if Post "more smelly than a thousand dumpsters" Malone

Well, since mediocre heterosexuality seems to be the trend for winners, I guess congratulations to Post Malone for winning album of the year in advance
