I am fine with most of what I see. I still need to see a few movies mentioned in there though.

Great year for movies! I highly recommend Lady Bird, Three Billboards, and Get Out.

Edit: Oh.... Blade Runner 2049 was definitely snubbed, damn.

Those seem like quality nominations. I wish Baby Driver would've gotten something, but I guess my favourite isn't shared by enough people.

*Note: I still need to see Lady Bird, The Shape of Water, The Post and Three Billboards. They didn't play near me.*

Congratulations to Jordan Peele and Get Out, and Guillermo del Toro and the Shape of Water. 2 outstanding movies that deserved the recognition, but now I don't know which to root for lol

I am definitely rooting for Octavia Spencer!

I imagine the whole Kevin Spacey thing didn't help. (Probs same for The Disaster Artist).

Happy to see Logan nominated for best adapted screenplay. Not necessarily because I think it deserves it but because it's also an acknowledgment of the source material. That's kinda neat but it's also sad that Len Wein passed away before he could see this.

I'll be crossing my fingers for Del Toro for best director. Get Out for best movie and 2049 for best cinematography.

I loved Blade Runner 2049 but I wasn't expecting any nominations besides cinematography, which is very very well deserved.

If Three Billboards wins Best Pic, it'll be the first to do so without being nominated for Best Director since Argo, right?

No Blade Runner or Baby Driver is a crime against humanity. Throw out that trash ass Lady Bird and give it to one of those for sure.

LMAO Boss Baby. LMAO no Silent Voice. The Academy continues to be an utter fucking joke when it comes to animated films.

Do they nominate Meryl Streep by default every time just as a running gag? I admit not having seen her latest pictures but she can't possibly be that good in all of them to warrant a nomination every time, right?

Blade runner getting all the usual scifi movie noms.... (read: nothing substantial)

Such a shame.

Happy for shape of water though.

I didn't expect Get Out to get 4 nominations. Good shit.

Blade Runner tho... At least Deakins should finally get that Oscar...right?

Congrats to Guillermo, I would never have expected that.
...but damn, no love for Blade Runner.

At least Deakins has to win cinematography.

It got 5 nominations, I believe.

At least on a technical level, there should be no debate about it deserving the oscars for it.

Kinda sad that Denis did not mate it this year.
But Hopefully Guillermo will make it.
I expect Greta to make it though.

I'd imagine it will come down to Call me By Your Name, Lady Bird and The Shape of Water.

Timothée really deserves that Best Actor win. Shame he's going to lose to Gary Oldman in makeup.

Its always refreshing to have my opinion that Blade Runner was and always will be a trash franchise confirmed.

Nolan better win best director.

Kind of weird that Three Billboards didn't get a Best Director nomination, especially since it got a Best Picture nom.
