Yep! Since Cast Away. Amazingly, he was not nominated for Captain Phillips? Or Sully, Bridge of Spies, playing Walt Disney, and various other Oscar nominated pictures. I feel the Academy has taken him for granted.
It's sadly happening 100%I better not hear Todd Phillips name for Best Director, thats all Imma say
If you're gonna do a blockbuster for score, why pick Star Wars over Endgame?
All previous best actor winners
Who? That doesn't sound american
I always forget how this works, don't the actors and directors and studios have to campaign for nominations?
Yes, the studios build huge campaings for actors and directors (and everything else). The best campaing wins basically.I always forget how this works, don't the actors and directors and studios have to campaign for nominations?
Far from 100%. He missed the DGA. There's four noms locked, but the fifth is open, either Philips, Greta Gerwig, James Mangold or Taika. Or some left field choice.
Maybe not a great sign for Parasite's chances of winning the big ones - it's kind of rare to win awards like BP/BD with no Actor noms, though it's happened a couple times recently.
Can't believe Hanks wasn't nominated for Captain Phillips. What a joke.
Our of those supporting acting noms I liked Pitt and Pacino the most
So far all white people 🤔
Oh I meant for the male category
IkrLove love love that Joe Pesci got a nom. Great performance by him
That final scene...maybe the singular most powerful moment of his career?
Oscars fucking hate A24 😔
They had a couple good years recently but it's still ridiculous.
