U.S. Gamer Article

It's one thing to purchase a singular animation cell for a pretty penny, and you might be lucky enough if it's the original used for it's production. But it's something else entirely that this writer was able to snag a box full of animation cells (and their original clean-up drawings) for a cool $300 bucks. Nevermind that said production drawings/cells were used for the opening for a PS1 game, which in of itself is pretty rare to find.

And, as someone who's both a Mega Man nut and works in the animation industry, this is making be jealous.

As someone who briefly collected animation cels but quit because they were too scarce to be a sustainable collection, it cannot be overstated how extremely rare something like this is.

Really incredible find for this fan.

AAAAAHHHHHH, HAND PAINTED CELS! I miss the days when cartoons used that method for animation. And the face that your one managed to snag herself a rare piece of gaming history for just $300 bucks is something else. Though you could say...

These need to be digitally archived, preserved in frames and showcased in a gallery. Hopefully the owner does something worthwhile with them.

Thread title made me think they found them on the street or something.

Nice score though.
