A new trailer for the Super Mario Bros Movie is dropping tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. PT

Fighters Pass Vol. 2 was originally gonna just be 5 characters before Disney agreed to Sora being included at the last minute (FP2 was fully locked in by around November 2019). Likewise, Sephiroth & Kazuya seemingly switched places for reveals as a result going by how their files are ordered, so a change had to have happened to the point where Geoff couldn't plan that far in advance.
Another potential example of a last-minute TGA-related change is Byleth, who (according to Imran & internal news listing data in-game) was supposed to come out in December 2019 but was internally delayed a month. Between that & how their reveal trailer was structured, it's likely that Byleth was supposed to be a TGA 2019 reveal.
I think people were a little harsh with the first trailer as well.
But the fact of the matter is that people react harshly to Chris Pratt these days because of who he is as a person and he hasn't exactly done much to try and correct that.

Not sure why the fuzz about it not premiering at the TGA as if a trailer could only be shown once, it could still be shown there even if it premiered elsewhere first.
