Great, because I know my friends wouldn't bother buying this, so I wouldn't have either. But now I will, knowing that I can then much more easily entice my friends to join the ride.
I assume this is consoles too and not just PC? I assume it'll work by making the game free to download, then one player has to buy to unlock.

IIRC, you basically gift your friend a code to download the "friend" edition of the game, so you have to choose your friend wisely !
