You go fast as hell but...there's no sound. No fanfare. No roar and no vibration from the engine.
Good

Is there a list of vehicles that do this?
Why people need a loud engine sound and black exhaust smoke to prove their manhood is beyond me.

EVs should have speakers that play Jetson's flying car sound effects.Main reason I don't is that sometimes blind folks have to cross the street

As a pedestrian, I absolutely do not.Soon complaining about this very thing will be one of the factor that distinguish old people from young ones.
I for one welcome silent vehicles.

They'll stop before you see them, i'll be fine....
You go fast as hell but...there's no sound. No fanfare. No roar and no vibration from the engine. That said it is the smoothest ride I have ever felt in a car. I would actually kind of welcome a fake engine roar or something if they offered it.
Fuck a car.

Nobody alive on this forum grew up with horses as the normal mode of transportation
You can like cars. Some people just don't like their sleep being disturbed or having the shit scared out of them by some dickhead with an obnoxiously loud car.Jesus some people really don't like that other people like cars huh.

My car is as loud as is possible for a street car and I can appreciate the Tesla approach, especially for a commuter vehicle.
Over 130dB, lots of love, some hate, couldn't care less, I do me.
Depends on the car, IMO.
I feel like the sound gets coupled with the "action." For instance, you see rally drivers flying around blind corners, downshifting, hearing the engines redline, antilag systems go off coupled with the fact they are driving with a great sense of danger/exhilaration/precision...it can be understandable to associate liking the sound with all of that.
Plus maybe it's just our more childish instincts kicking in? A lot of my younger nieces and nephews love to play with toys and create noises with them...cars definitely have loud VROOOOMS.
I just got a volt! I love accelerating, the way it's so immediate and quiet.I have a Chevy Volt so obviously not as fast but I really like the sensation of accelerating quickly with the all electric, feels super futuristic and smooth. I've never really been a car guy though so don't pine for the roar of an engine
Lolwhy doesn't my macintosh make the cool beeping sounds when i go america online anymore?
