Original, rougher sprites are still better than this and always will be, but these ports are great. If nothing else that they're almost guaranteed localizations, and will popularize the series in the West, at least slightly.

I believe the European translations are owned by Nintendo, so most likely not. :(

They're originally GBA games. Outside of a DS exclusive case, nothing in the originals required you to use a touch screen.

But I thought Nintendo owned the localisation text. Maybe Capcom will retranslate them

The Switch version might, the others won't though. Nintendo paid for the FIGS localisation and own the rights to it.

Ungodly? Did you got them late when it was rare and unavailable? I actually have all the imported versions because they included English (I believe the actual English versions have typos fixed) and because I remember them being cheap, so that's why I never even bothered rebuying the trilogy on 3DS. The DS cards play just fine there.

When I first read the title I didn't see Steam listed. It might have been there, it might not have been there.

definitely will pick it up on Switch (love this series so much) and may even double dip on PS4 as well just to support it
