And I like it when companies try new ideas instead of rehashing the same characters and designs. I love Mazinger but sometimes it feels like there's a little bit too many toys for it.

just for reference in case anyone wants to know where this is from: and the backstory is up to this point no ever released this color scheme due to very strict licencing agreement in place. Somehow bandai made a miracle (or overpaid) and releasing it to us in March 2019 =)

Kidding aside, you'd be hard pressed to find anything like that because the whole industry's style changed. Your best bet are throwback stuff meant to look like what came before them like UC Gundam or a very late adaption to a manga from the 80s.

If you like the character designs and not just the animation, look for anything with character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto, who did Macross. The last thing I remember him doing was Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.
If it's the animation style, yeah you're going to have to go back a few. Luckily Mikimoto's got a bunch of older stuff that has great animation like Macross: Do You Remember Love (I'm not even sure this is available legally in the West anymore though), Megazone 23, Gundam 0080 and Gunbuster.

It looks fucking amazing. I was thinking about grabbing only the SW villains but Qui-Gon Jinn makes me want to reconsider. Mace will probably look awesome too whenever it comes. But I really don't want to go down this road and commit to a crazy expensive collection. Decisions, decisions.

The joints are kinda stiff and clunky, but goddam it looks so good.
I kinda regret ordering the First4Figures PVC statue now, I like the look of this one more. If only it had a stand for flight poses.
Heh, I just realized the back and front feet are reversed. How embarrassing. Ankle articulation is much better now.

I might get the Mark 85 from End Game, but looks a bit too similar to the Mark 50 for my tastes. Feel likes I am buying a repaint of the Mark 50. I need to see how different War Machine looks in End Game before I decided if I want to pick up the 85. Having the complete Iron Man/War Machine pair from IW and EG does tickle my completion-ist heart.
