Hey resetera!

I am currently in Japan. Any cool exclusive action figures to pick up while I'm here? Or any good shops to check out while I'm here? I love all things marvel, Godzilla, ninja, samurai. I am currently in Tokyo but also going to hakone, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka.

Akihabara probably has plenty of toy stores. Check out Mandarake's various branches as well for pre-owned stuff.

In Akihabara, there's a store called Lashinbang that is directly across from Super Potato (when exiting SP you'll see it to your right) that has a ton of figures and statues. I spent an hour or two looking at it, there are multiple floors.
Here's the location info.

There's also a Kotobukiya store in the area. look at this video, and check out his channel, he has some other vids on stores in the area.


There's also a huge Yodabashi Camera department store in Akihabara that has a very nice video game and toy selection. It also had a really good sushi restaurant on the top floor. There is a Square-Enix Cafe attached to the outside of it.

NECA Terminator: Dark Fate Sarah Connor and T-800.
It's listed as the T-800 on Toyark's article, but there's been word that it's a human the model was based on.

I'm still holding out hope for a version of Sarah Connor from The Terminator, and a re-release of Kyle Reese with more articulation.

Would also be nice to see re-releases of the other figures, since they can go for quite a bit online. The only ones I see in stores are the Ultimate T-800 from Terminator 2 (which I got a few hours ago, as seen in my previous post), and the Kenner tribute figures, and I've only seen them at one Target store.

I got my SS38 Optimus Prime in the mail from Amazon. I'm honestly disappointed in the figure. I don't like transforming it. I love him in Robot mode though. It looks great though.

I was wondering how they got this license, but it's from the video game, which basically makes it a comic book license because there are so many suits in that game. So yeah, I'm sure they're going to milk it. Argh. I thought I was out.

In for Scarlet Spider! As a Hot Toys Spiderman completionist I feel I'm in deep shit in the coming years. My worries are about space to display more than anything. Also this sucka is on waitlist already.

Hyped for Toy Story 4 this week. Got tickets to watch it Friday morning with my dad and brothers. Also ordered Toy Story of Terror Blu-ray since it was the only thing I was missing, which should be here tomorrow. Gonna rewatch all of the movies, shorts, and specials this week. Probably gonna buy the games for the first and third movie soon on Genesis and Xbox 360/One, too. I have the first game on PC, but it's not a good port, and it doesn't seem to run on anything after Windows 95. I have the Toy Story 2 game on PlayStation.


Anyway...yeah! I got all of these at Target.

Mattel's getting back into the He-Man game. The new line is rumored to be called Masters of the Universe: Origins, and is kicking off with this SDCC 2-pack of Prince Adam and He-Man. With the new movie finally going into production, I guess Mattel finally realized that getting these characters back into cultural relevance would be a good idea. I like what they're doing here, using the vintage 5.5 inch line as the base, and adding a lot of modern articulation and accessories. I'm also digging how these are based off the original mini comics. The Four Horsemen confirmed they are working on this line, and it will be getting a retail release.

These are so cool! I love the mini comics are pretty much the same retelling as the originals, only with updated art. lol

Seeing these in retail is going to be narly and cool tho. 2020 and 2021 should be something special for the MOTU brand.

The Super7 Supercast has a new episode out too. There's a great look at the unpainted protos for God Skeletor and He-Man from the '87 movie but they still seem a ways off..

Yeah, the SHF one looks derpy, but I wish they went for a much more neutral expression on the ML one. Overall the ML one looks better, but meh.

Got a preorder in for this SDCC exclusive this morning. Too awesome to pass up. It's sold out right now, but the Entertainment Earth booth will have it at a reduced price.

For anyone who wasn't able to get them last time, NECA is putting their SDCC exclusives up one more time tomorrow (Friday) at 3pm US eastern time. Apparently, they'll have some available from orders that they cancelled due to bots and eBay scalpers.
