A thread for those thoughts that are 100% adult.

Today I was emptying the dishwasher and noticed that a plate was chipped. Young version of me wouldn't even notice. Current me is on Crate and Barrel seeing if they have the plate still or considering if we should in invest in a set of nice China.

Yesterday I was concerned about how much mulch I would need to buy this summer.

I go out of my way to find discounts and coupons for everything like groceries, stuff on Amazon, and it feels great to find a good discount on something.

I still fucking hate washing dishes though.

I just watched the dunkey labo video and spent the whole time admiring his hardwood floors and nice countertops. Many Americans sure live in beautiful homes. I live in east Asia and even when you see the big million dollar apartments that celebrities live in, they don't look as nice as a modern midwestern house.

I remember when I was 26 and I got a single scoop of ice cream at at Baskin Robbins. When I got home I only ate half of it and put it in the freezer for the next day. I told a friend how I felt I had reached a milestone.

He told me his 5-year-old does that.

It used to annoy me as a kid when my parents would tell me off when I took something out of a cupboard and didn't put it back in the same place.

Now it annoys me when my friends do it. THE COFFEE BELONGS ON THE FOURTH SHELF GOD DAMN IT.

Younger me would go to the movies all the time, by myself, with friends and what not. Now i dont give a shit about going to the movies and it takes a lot for me to watch one at home.

Actually opposite for me. I can afford it now, screw it buying next model up. In less affluent /younger days I'd do the extra steps

I'm 28 and have a ton of Deadpool shirts from well before the Deadpool movie, years back. The other day I saw a 12 yearold kid wearing the EXACT same DP shirt I had in my closet. It was NOT a fun day. Also, my poor wardrobe

I feel you, OP. We recently moved and I discovered 8 of my pfalzgraff plates got broken. Almost cried. Spent a lot of time pricing replacements and wondering if the ones I see online are slightly more white than the remaining ones I have.

Spent yesterday steaming the creases out of my new kitchen sheers, delighting in my new steam mop & attachments and thinking of all the things I can clean with them.

Today I decided on the 350 with a quad holly carb setup in my truck instead of the beefier 400 because the 400 may have to much power and could twist the frame.

I also decided to bang the blonde tonight rather than the brunette because she gives better head. But the brunette does move her hips better, so I may change this decision still.

Yah, being an adult is hard.

Now that I just move into my first house I'm having a bunch of these.

Did I leave the master bathroom light on? What's that faint noise above the microwave? (It was the vent flaps) I need to buy a garden hose for the back of the house, not just the front. Let me just turn off the gas fireplace to save a little money. Wow, these wood bowls and trays are acacia wood just like the floor, they match well. Are there any used beds on Craigslist for the guest room? Whoa, this vacuum cleaner is awesome! I need to buy a paper towel holder. I'm so glad I got a rug that matches so well. Why won't the power company change the 'wrong address' my power meter is listed at? I'm so glad I chose this backsplash, it goes great with the cabinets, floor and bathroom vinyl. Oh, I should put some grout sealer on the edges. I need to buy a toilet plunger. Oh, and a toilet brush. These cabinet pulls match so well with the stainless steel appliances! I need to buy some bottom lining for the cabinets so I can keep them looking good and dry in case a slightly wet dish goes inside, or a bottle of something drips or spills.

Et cetera. My current state of mind.

When I renew my mortgage should I get a 2 year fixed interest deal at a lower interest rate or 5 year fixed interest deal at a slightly higher interest rate given that the Bank of England may be raising interest rates soon?

Coming fresh out of a long 10+ year relationship, being Single seems more lonley than it did before it Started, which when I was 23yrs old, back then I didn’t give a fuck if there was times spent single, now uhhh it’s so fresh it’s kind of meh.

I've got to decide for a job move if I'm going to go all in and buy a house in the new area or rent temporarily until the rest of the family can join me. I can start mortgage payments but I don't like the idea of being rushed to find a permanent place.
