This is late to the tag team match discussion, but count me as someone that is a fan. I think it's a smart way to advance feuds while not giving away too much. The six man tag at Fight for the Fallen was masterpiece booking in this way, IMO. In that one match, they successfully moved forward beefs between Spears and MJF, Spears and Darby (and in turn advanced the Cody/Spears feud), laid the groundwork for the Cracker Barrel Clash, AND that match was a showcase for Guevara's abilities. Or like with the women's matches, they've done a lot to tease an eventual Baker vs Priestley match in multiple tag matches, while really giving away very limited interaction between the two.
It's a great way to make actual singles (or tag matches between defined teams) even more meaningful when they happen.

It's amazing what happens when wrestling promos/personalities/personas don't seem forced, inauthentic and overly rehearsed.
I'm not someone who watches, follows, or admittedly enjoys wrestling, but it's been remarkable how fast AEW seems to have penetrated - I've seen tons of people wearing t-shirts for it in Boston, more than WWE or other. Whatever they're doing appears to be working.

I honestly had no idea, but Boston is big enough that you don't hear about some major events/concerts.
As non-wrestling person I must commend them regardless on getting mind share out of a non-fan.
Anyone else notice that it actually says "AEW" on the logo? The A is the pyramid, E is the eye and the W looking-thing at the bottom. Pretty clever.
Love the Inner Circle concept and gimmick, but as strictly a t-shirt design it doesn't touch Bullet Club. BC shirts are so bold, striking, and simple, they instantly jump out of any shot panning across a wrestling crowd, yet the design is malleable enough to work with dozens of different people and gimmicks. TBH none of AEW's shirts have struck me as having the same virality of BC, Jericho's stable had the potential and while it's a cool design, I just can't see this taking off the same way.
I wish while Kenny Omega is over in Japan recruiting Joshi stars he'd talk to some graphic designers, because a huge breakthrough design like BC could really move the needle for AEW.

I still can't get over how good a seller Guevara is. I still don't know if Page lifted his game something severe, Sammy's selling or both. I think it might be both, but more on Sammy because he made Dustin look like he was in his late 20's.

Damn...it's so refreshing to watch a show like AEW. It's been a long time since I've seen an episode of Raw or Smackdown, but I've watched a few WWE PPV's on the network the last couple of years, and they've been overly long, the announcing has been the drizzling shits on all but NXT, and the product in general has been pretty mediocre. Reading the reports is bad enough for Raw and Smackdown these days, the stupidity and lack of quality permeates even the write ups.
AEW is killing it. Quality talent that are allowed to come off well instead of being buried or actively sabotaged by being called Shorty. Issues built in logical ways that make sense. Announcers that try to enhance the match in progress and put over talent's strengths instead of yammering on about nothing using the same fake sounding phrases they all have to say because the owner thinks it sounds better than normal speech. Just watched that Darby Allin promo above and the difference between that and 95% of the crap that WWE has their talent say is night and day. He sounded like he meant what he said, he delivered it in a way that suited his character...what a concept!
I want every performer that I like in WWE to make the switch to AEW to see what they can really do. Why does WWE seem hell bent on not using wrestlers to their best potential?

Nakamura's entire WWE run (including the NXT stuff) has basically just been a very long, ongoing retirement tour that's never lived up to his work in NJPW and I doubt he could even reach those heights any more at his age but I'd still love to see him back on the occasional tour. Doesn't have to be full time.
Otherwise, it's pretty self explanatory.

I wonder what expands first? The number of TV shows they have or the number of PPVs they do a year? I know they've been touting their reduced schedule as a benefit to all the wrestlers there but you have to imagine that at some point (assuming they continue to build in popularity) they'll add another TV show and more PPVs at some point.
My guess would be that they'll add another TV show before they start adding PPVs. Partly because with the PPVs being $50 a pop I think they know they really need to build them up to keep people coming back and doing a $50 PPV every month would absolutely drive people away. I wonder if we'll get anymore free and/or bonus PPVs next year like Fyter Fest?
If you're counting AEW Dark (which I love) but that's not quite the same thing as Dynamite. Also, I'm not saying that I want them to add another show or that they'll roll out a new TV show tomorrow but assuming things continue to trend upwards for them then I have to assume another TV show is the end game. But the exciting thing is that I could be totally wrong! 3 hours of wrestling a week spread out over two days is perfect for me. Again, I don't necessarily want this I'm just speculating is all because it's interesting to think about what they could do as they're still such a young company that it feels like anything is possible.
IMO, they shouldn't add any more PPVs, at least as long as the current TV broadcasting landscape remains the same. When all the money is in TV rights, why put your best content behind a PPV paywall? They'd be smarter to build to bigger TV events rather than add more PPVs.

I'm totally cool with one two-hour show and an optional dark match show on YouTube. And NWA to round out my wrestling week. Don't feel the need to watch WWE at all with this setup either.
My only real complaint with After Dark is that Tuesday is a bad night for it- if you don't watch it that night, the next episode of Dynamite will have already aired by the time you have a chance to watch it, which will be "spoiled" by the Dynamite if there are any angles on After Dark, and by win-loss record changes. Also, it's going to be weird for any weeks with PPV, where the PPV will air on Saturday, and then After Dark (filmed before the PPV!) happens afterwards.

I assumed it was put on Tuesday's to fill a void left by Smackdown but I'd prefer they were spaced out a bit more as well.
I didn't even consider that but yeah. One of these airing after a PPV would be weird. Having said that, the nice thing with AEW Dark being a youtube show is that they could more easily move it around if they want to. Honestly, if they could turn it around quickly enough Thursday night would be perfect.
I wonder how much flexibility AEW has with the length of Dynamite? I say this because they only do a handful of PPVs a year so maybe they could do a 3 hour ep of Dynamite the week before a PPV so then there wouldn't be any dark matches that week?
The one thing I'd like to see more of on TV currently are those filmed and backstage promos and interviews that do a great job of building character and setting up matches. Last week we got a few minutes of Jimmy Havoc during his entrance but nothing from the fire Darby one that dropped online. The quality is good enough that they deserve to be featured and the TV only audience is missing out on reasons to get invested.

Does someone at AEW hate volume? The entrance music is inaudible. That Allin promo the vocals are terrible
