Woah! Pretty cool. When did they announce a PS4 version? Guess I missed that.

Really nice to hear universal praise for last night's Dynamite. Every single podcast I've heard or report I've read has been overwhelmingly positive with many calling it the best Dynamite episode yet with almost nothing to criticize. Ya love to see it. Can't rememeber the last time a wrestling episode has had this type of reaction.

From the Observer newsletter:

AEW: There is interest in Aramis

NJPW: New Japan will promote its biggest event for the remainder of 2020, Wrestle Dynasty, on 8/22 in Madison Square Garden. The show will take place on the same weekend as SummerSlam, which will take place the next day in Boston. But it will go head-to-head with the NXT Takeover show in Boston. It also comes two weeks before All Out 2 in Chicago.

The idea is that New Japan will present a card equivalent to a WrestleKingdom. That would seem to mean an IWGP title match involving Tetsuya Naito, Kazuchika Okada, Kota Ibushi, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jay White or Will Ospreay would be put on top. Because G-1 is being moved to the fall due to the Olympics, it would be the last major event before G-1, and follow Dominion, which takes place 6/16 in Osaka.

As things stand right now, neither Jon Moxley or Chris Jericho would be allowed to appear on the show as their AEW deal only allows for them to work for New Japan in Japan.

It's notable that after all the pressure coming from the WWE side, that in the end, Madison Square Garden gave them this date. New Japan had planned on announcing this show on 1/5 at the Tokyo Dome, but it wasn't finalized until recently for the obvious issues.

AAA: There is an interesting thing going on regarding some of the talent like Taurus, El Hijo del Vikingo, Laredo Kid and others. AAA right now has business relationships with AEW, Impact and MLW. That in and of itself is difficult because MLW realizes it has no leverage and doesn't insist on exclusivity, Impact doesn't really want them dealing MLW but knows they can't try and push them not to deal with AEW. AEW hasn't forced them not to deal with anyone else but at times has muscled them regarding Impact guys on their shows that AEW would be on. Impact did for a time push for them not to use Killer Kross when he was under contract to them but they were at the impasse. Anyway, AAA wants the guys who are great workers to sign a U.S. deal but their own stability. Impact, AEW and MLW all run very few dates, so if they sign with those groups, AAA can still use them on pretty much all their TV tapings, maybe every now and then there's a conflict but usually not. But what it does is solidify their guys being in the U.S., which is now the goal for a lot of the younger talent and where there is more money, but keeps them from going to WWE, which will sign anyone with talent to stockpile, but if they do, then AAA can't use them anymore. For obvious reasons, AEW has the edge and priority, but AEW isn't in the mode of signing everyone with talent. They've slowed down on new people because they don't have enough TV to feature all the guys they have. So they aren't rushing to sign new guys, even Vikingo. MLW and Impact have interest in signing those guys

WON about Jeff Cobb situation:

The story with Cobb is that he's still a free agent and only has agreed at this point to do the program with Moxley. It's interesting that they were willing to use an ROH guy (Cobb never signed a new ROH contract so he can work wherever he wants) for a short-term program. They used footage to introduce him from All Pro Wrestling rather than ROH or NJPW, which was also telling about relationships. Cobb has been offered a deal by Cody but his goal is working as much New Japan as he can right now

Im still shock they made all these production just for 1 fight lol. Also i didnt watch matanza in NJPW, but i read his G1 run was horrible?

If he puts NJPW as priority 1, then is normal to sign with AEW because probably NJPW will ask him to do the USA dates and AEW will not allow that.

I would prefer that AEW stop using people in these kind of situations that are not signed and will do only sporadic appeareances, because AEW is all about connecting with the wrestlers, and i cant give a fuck about a guy that will fight Mox and then god knows when will he appear again.

But im speculating too much, let's see how this cooks. Blind faith in Cody and the guys.

AEW barely has a relationship with AAA would be more factually correct, just going on what I've seen of it.

Kenny Omega is the world heavyweight champion of AAA.

My favourite AEW reviewer is the guy that does F4W/WO.

They don't even watch the show.

One of the main criticisms this week was that Britt Baker/AEW has never explained why Britt calls Tony Schiavone "Mr Starbucks" in her interviews with him.

My first experience of him was last years G1 and he had a few good matches but also a few that weren't. The guys he did have good matches with can have good matches with virtually everyone though so it's hard to say how much was down to him.

TBH I could put a couple of the clunkers down to adjusting to the climate and such as he looked blown up early in the tournament, others could be just not meshing with other guys.

If he comes into AEW and gets to dominate matches and fight at his own pace I imagine he'll look better than he did in Japan. He's not quick but he's quite agile and ridiculously strong for a man his size, you'll see him do a power move where you think he's gone too far and will drop a guy but then he stops and pulls it all the way back to hit the move. Catching guys in mid air like he's gonna do a fall away slam but instead he throws them up in the air vertically and suplexes them. Crazy impressive stuff.

I have a question for friend OhSatan

Since I go to Planet Poor and don't have a way to do barbell deadlifts (Smith Machine doesn't go down to the floor), is doing dumbbell deadlifts a decent enough replacement in my 5x5 routine?

Wait lets skip this, if you have no access to bars how are you doing rows?

Pls tell me you are not doing yates' rows friend?

Wtf is a Yates row

I'm using a barbell on the Smith Machine. It's just limited that it can't go down to the floor so you can't do a deadlift unless you stood on a box or something.
Oh ok I thought you were doing dumbbell rows or cord rows.

I mean you are supposed to pick the bar from the floor each row, this is the noisiest excercise ever lol.

You can do deadlifts with dumbbells but you MUST use risers or lifters or steps to put the bells high.

If they let you I will do the smith with the booster.

I'll have to look around the next time I go and see if there's any risers.

HIs G1 run wasn't horrible, but he had the worst performance of anyone in B block. He was still good, just everyone else was great.

I don't often do this, but: what else is IG for if not ass and titty pics.

Twitter is for staying connected to your circle of socialist brothers and sisters, IG is for thirst. Straight thirst, gay thirst, bi thirst, whatever your flavor is.

I'm the opposite. I connect through IG. And that is considering I used to manage/sell shout-out pages.

Do they have a trap bar? Just my opinion, but that's better than dumbbells for deadlifts.

Very glad to hear that Cobb has NJPW as his no 1 priority. New Japan just need to offer him the right deal.

Fantasy booking Cody/Wardlow:

Ref bump or Wardlow distracting the ref which allows MJF to get involved again. MJF slams the cage door on Cody's head or whips him again with a belt, allowing Wardlow to get the W and Cody falls further down into darkness.

Cody almost has to win at Revolution in this case, though.

Nah, get Wardlow not to care about winning but just injurying Cody (and doing all kind of heel shenanigans). Get Cody to "win" by being thrown against a wall and breaking it by Wardlow. Wardlow looks like a beast, Cody can go injured into Revolution to give MJF a better reason to win.

Edit: It also works because we know MJF really doesnt want to wreslte Cody, so trying to make him not to have the "medical clearance" would be smart.
