After all the new info, are you getting Crash Team Racing or Team Sonic Racing?

CTR. The original is in my top 10 of all time and this new one even has levels from a game i never played. Sonic racing looks boring and i don't care for any of the charachters except for Sonic, Tails and Knucles. "Transformed" is an amazing game by Sumo but this one looks like a huge step down. Will buy it on sale some day maybe.
Crash.
Best Kart racing game ever. Also Sonic removed the cool Sega characters so we are stuck with only Sonic's friends (who are the worst part about Sonic these days).

Think I'll grab these for Switch from GameFly before I plunk down the bucks. Crash looks bonkers but I'm not sure about 30fps in a post-Mario Kart 8 world.

I mean, Pura, Polar and Penta might not be the holy grail of design, they're quite generic, but you also have super memorable characters like Dingodile, Tiny or N.Gin.
Team Sonic Racing, especially now because of the improvements. As for Crash, it's not a franchise that I've ever cared about, and CTR isn't on the PC anyway.
I mean, I played Sonic games when I was younger and never touched a Crash game. However I can say with confidence that I find certain Crash character designs better than some of Sonic's designs. Give me the Polar Bear cub and Pinstripe Potoroo any day over Rouge the Bat and freaking Zarvok.
As far as which one, probably both at some point. Never played CTR is it would be cool to play it on modern systems. TSR was totally off my radar but Sumo seems to have polished up the game greatly as they delayed it.
But you guys didn't say anything about 30fps two decades ago on ancient systems during the infancy of 3D!
I actually don't have an answer. Sonic is looking better than before, but I still don't like the Sonic-only theme (I don't even know which character I'd pick up). And Crash, it'll be jarring to go from the likes of MK7 on 3DS to a 30fps racing game. I honestly don't know.

As disappointed as I am in CTR not being 60fps, I'll still be purchasing.
That was one of the best kart racers ever made, with an incredible single player campaign (at the time). Still holding out hope the developer unfucks up and adds in a less graphically intensive 60fps mode

Sonic's shitty friends are more appealing character wise than the Crash cast for me. I never liked Crash as a character, at all.

Anyways, I'm going with CTR. Never really cared about Sonic and the gameplay doesn't really suit me.
It's maybe a little unfair since CTR is kind of a known quantity, but easily that. I really liked Transformed but I really haven't loved what we've seen of TSR so far.
I think that's what makes this a fair comparison. We know what the engine is for TSR, & we know what the stages/characters/items are for CTR. Barring how they changed the Nitro Kart levels & any extras they might be bringing in (I'm still pulling for Tawna, Koala Kong, Nina Cortex, Baby T., & Spyro being playable).

Haha I knew people would take offence! Anyway, some Crash characters are okay but even when I was 12 and Crash was introduced I just thought he was lame. I'd lived through the 16 bit era so I had a handle on the assorted platformer characters, and he was bottom of the barrell material.

Definitely Sonic as I have no attachment to Crash whatsoever and I'll be able to recognize references in TSR.
Crash easily. Since I consider the original the best kart racer ever made, sonic losing SEGA characters has me disinterested.
Sonic, unless it's not 60 FPS on Switch, then neither. I'd rather just play MK8 for the rest of eternity in that case. I do think the team mechanic in Sonic is neat though.
