https://www.newsweek.com/11-year-ol...d-there-would-be-part-two-if-he-didnt-1356721

The 11-year-old was reportedly upset that his parents took his video games away and devised the plan at school that day to shoot his father.

The 11-year-old reportedly told law enforcement that he "was done with all of that" and went to Makowski's car three times to look for the firearm.

"The boy said he went into his parent's bedroom with the gun and decided to wait 'about 10 minutes' until his dad rolled over and was facing away from the door so that 'he wouldn't see me shooting him,'" court documents described, according to WSBT.

Mod Edit: Removed portion of article causing confusion.

During a conversation with officers after the shooting, WSBT reported the 11-year-old also warned that if he didn't get a PlayStation, an Xbox and a computer there would be a "part two."

Bonus quote

An officer asked if he was the one who shot his father and he allegedly replied that he had, adding, "sometimes I don't think right."

How do you raise a kid to be that evil?
I'm not a parent but parents know when their kid is shitty, right? You won't admit it but you live with this other human being for years and you constantly talk to them and get to know them. You have to know your kid sucks.
Or you're a complete idiot that got fooled by someone who hasn't even gone through puberty.

He needs serious help. Let's hope this isn't taken in the context that it's blamed on video games instead of a mental health problem.
who am I kidding

I have no expertise but I have to think it's a combination of terrible parenting combined with serious mental issues

This kid wasn't "raised" to be evil. From the sounds of it, he himself acknowledges that there's something fundamentally wrong with the way his brain is wired.

Children's Union representative Kaden Justin Clark said that his member and sixth grade seat mate "feared for his extra lives" and that "evidence would emerge proving that the muscular adult had flexed his upper back aggressively."

I think it's important to make clear that its a stun gun.

EDIT: uh nevermind I think
Nope.

On Feb. 22, the boy shot his father, Indiana State Police officer Matt Makowski, in the buttocks with the officer's .45-caliber duty weapon, according to court documents. The boy got the gun from Makowski's locked police vehicle, parked outside the family's home on Conover Drive in Granger, the records show.
Makowski later told police he kept his weapon locked in his vehicle because he did not want his kids to have access to it.

That kid is fucked holy shit. Tested out a stun gun on their dog, put thought into how he wanted to end his dad, that is fucked.

Yikes. And the father is a police officer

Also it was not the stun gun that was used. It was his service pistol

There's also a BB Gun involved, along with the .45 and the stun gun.

The boy's mother told police she and her husband were asleep when she heard a loud "gong" sound and her husband began screaming in pain. Realizing her husband had been shot, she went to look for her son and found the service weapon on the floor outside the room. As she secured the gun and called 911, she saw her son walking up the stairs with a BB gun and Makowski's duty taser, according to court records.

He was seriously trying to aim for the head!
The boy also said he tested the taser out on the family's dog prior to the shooting, according to the documents. The boy told police he intended to shoot his father in the head but couldn't do so because of the way his dad was lying in bed.

I...I can't even....

The gun he used against the father wasn't the stun gun, but the stun gun line in the OP is leading to some confusion so I removed it.

This kid needs help. And having firearms around kids never ends well. Put all that bullsh*t in a locked safe.

Honestly, I am not sure there is hope for the kid. Sounds like he is a psychopath or whatever the term is for some one born with a brain that does not empathize or care about right and wrong (it's a physical trait so there's no therapy for it). Sometimes a kid *is* just born bad.

From my understanding a child being a sociopath/psychopath has little to do with "how they are raised", it can be successfully detected by a specialist in a child as young as 3 years of age. Parents that have children with these tendencies are often forced to put their children into special care facilities. Luckily there are newer treatments that can help children with sociopathic/psychopathic tendencies integrate with society before they become adults.

Here's an article about children with psychopathic tendencies if anyone wants to read it. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/06/when-your-child-is-a-psychopath/524502/

Sounds like the kid had some pretty clear earmarks of sociopathy or some other kind of issue.

Torturing animals and planning to shoot your father in the head is not something a stable child does at that age.
