I played with a pad on PS4 and was all good.Should I play this with m/k or a pad? I'd prefer to play on my TV tbh.
Thanks! I'll play it with a Dualshock 4 too then. Does it have puzzles like 999 and VLR or is it more like Steins;Gate?
There are a few quick time events, and then the somnium sections which are puzzles but only in the sense of 'figure out which item to go to, then pick one of the 4 options.' There's no crazy in depth puzzle segments. Thanks! I'll play it with a Dualshock 4 too then. Does it have puzzles like 999 and VLR or is it more like Steins;Gate?
Hmmm I'm not sure if this is the one for you then honestly. The characters are the characters, and the story DOES get wild and nutty, but it is still trying to solve the murder. I do encourage to keep going and give it a shot because I love it, just being honest above.90 minutes in and the game fails to grab my attention. It's too light-hearted so far and a mere whodunnit isn't that interesting. The best part about 999 and VLR was the mysterious setting. Finding out who Zero was never that interesting to me. Rather, I was curious where we were, when we were, what the reason for the nonary game was etc. So far, I also happen to not like a single character.
I hope this gets better. 999 and VLR (and Danganronpa 1) hooked me from minute 1 on.
I enjoyed parts of the game and the atmosphere, but the things you mention are precisely the things I loved from Uchikoshi's previous works (though I'd say finding out Zero's identity is part of it) which are sorely lacking in AI for the most part. There are perhaps a couple scenes which parallel that feeling of experiencing a revelation.90 minutes in and the game fails to grab my attention. I'm glad you're liking it more! You're hitting my favorite part, which is different endings trickling important info. Makes all of em count. It took me 45 min to trial and error my way through #89's somnium file. Beyond awful game design, but on the bright side I'm starting to dig the story a bit more. I started the game yesterday and I'm up to 6 or 7h or so which isn't a bad sign.
edit: Looks like I reached the first ending after 6:50h. Let's see where this goes.
Sorry you didn't enjoy it that much :/ tho I definitely feel you on that edit lol I was trying to finish it one night, saw that, said "I think im just gonna go to bed"The finale has been going on for 2h and no end it sight, PLEASE END. I actually can't stomach anymore of this, so I started browsing on the internet until it's over. The reveal was good, but the game is just pretty boring overall. This was nothing like 999, VLR or Danganronpa 1. Those games kept me up at night, this one put me to sleep at 8 pm.
edit: Now I'm supposed to visit all locations again. Yeah, no thanks. I'm outta here.
I played it on switch and while it was quite bad it a few areas (like when loading a flashback scene, which happens somewhat frequently), it's still a good experience. I'd say it depends on how much you prefer it on switch really. Unless you wanna play it portable sometimes I'd go PS4.Is the Switch performance shored up enough at this point to recommend it over the PS4 if I have a natural preference for getting games on my Switch for convenience's sake? If it affects the experience significantly I don't mind going the PS4 route (especially 'cause it's currently on sale for $30).
Where did you see 7 hours? It's definitely 30-40ish.
I don't know if I even got my first ending that fast, which is what I assume that 7 hour count was for. But by "ending" I do not meant it's a satisfying conclusion to the entire game; it's not a thing where you can just play one route and you'd see that as finishing it. It's a branching story and you need to see all the branches to completion to see the end of the overall story.
Boy, that escalated quickly... (Day 5 or so, right route, I think)
I'm not sure how I feel about the investigation rooms. They're fun, but have little to no basis in logical decision making.

Guessing its this : https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/A...e sure that frame rate, cap until the next one.
Can someone tell me what is happening? When I am in somnia, if I stay still, the game steadily drops in framerate, going sub 1 frame per second even, and it gets all visually glitchy like this. The same thing happens when I open the map. It makes the game practically unplayable.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Thanks. It appeares I can solve the issue by disabling vsync.
I think it might have occurred for me once or twice.Hello, thread bump bc I have a question:
I notice slight stuttering on the Ps4 version while playing through. It happens when Date's car animation on the highway comes up sometimes. Will see it here and there other places.
This happen to any one else?
I bought the game during the sale on Steam and finished Mizuki Ending as my first good ending.
Its a terrible day for rain
