So do people really believe that if kids never see a gay person they will never be gay?
I think it's more that they believe that if kids never see that it's okay to be gay person they will fear those feelings as they get older.

yeah it was aired, but that's on a private cable channel not public access televisionOut of pure curiosity I wonder if Alabama aired the gay wedding in Steven Universe?
In Alabama 17% of the state is at or below the poverty line (6th in the US). Its one of the least educated states as well. Alabama definitely has problems.Third world state in a first world country.
Fuck Alabama and the trash-ass inhabitants that support this bullshit.
About like anywhere else, yeah. Birmingham, Huntsville, and the college towns aren't bad. Get even slightly away from those (or the wrong places in them) and it gets bad real quick.Of course I'm white. I'm not saying racism isn't in mobile, but it appeared everyone was friendly down there. I saw gay people all over the place too. It was like any other city I've been to.
Just saying, it mostly must be outside of urban areas. That seems to be the case everywhere. Just way more extreme in the south.
