Everyone who asked should have a message, PM me if there's any issue

Check any YouTube wrestling channel that covers some AEW news, they always get accused of being AEW shills from wwe fan boys.

Typical comments are like 'you must be getting paid' or 'AEW is just a t shirt company, they will never beat wwe'.

God, the t-shirt one is the most prevalent I've seen in general, and to me it's by far the stupidest one

DIdn't realize it until now, but looks like they basically confirmed that the pre-show will be on YouTube at the very least:

From the Observer Boards:

AEW Before The Bell scheduled times:

ITV4 24/05 00:05-00:55
ITV 25/05 00:00-00:55 (repeat)

Yep, that's ITV for the repeat, not ITV4. So you'll see AEW on the main channel.

Just to clarify, this is a hype show for DoN that's going to be on the main ITV channel (in addition to ITV4). The pre-show itself will still be on ITV4, but will be interesting to see how it does.

On Observer radio today, Meltzer said that he was contacted by someone at Turner, and "there's definitely something scheduled for Quarter 4 (Q4)" in regards to AEW's TV deal, which would be within the time period of October-December.

Looks like Wednesday will finally be the day where we get an official announcement.

This was clarified a while ago. Anyone still lifting that up as a thing that AEW were doing were wrong to be parroting it. Doesn't mean they won't try their best to get good health care for their performers down the line or something. Just how it's launching.

Frankly fans should be holding any wrestling promo who can afford it to the fire to do something right in regards to health benefits.

Not enough people will hold anyone up to the fire over it unfortunately. If they didn't after that John Oliver piece they never will.

Can people stop doing this? It is like people have grown lazy or something and posting Twitter links or other links with no context or conversation. I know it is not a huge deal but there are times when Twitter links are blocked and can't go clicking on every link. I cant be the only one who has to read the board under similar situations
It's a reddit post clarifying the AEW health insurance stuff. People assuming the entire roster will have coverage when that's not the case and been openly the case ever since the Vegas ticket reveal thing.

The convo in the thread is bad cuz it's a bunch of fans pointing and laughing at AEW for being "incompetent" or something, even though they're just doing what's a shitty industry standard. Meanwhile people who are excited for AEW are being way overly defensive and throwing accusations at people they think are WWE shills. Good OP clarifying a misconception, shit thread. Here's the post copy/pasted.

Correcting a misconception: AEW is NOT offering wrestlers health insurance

On either this or last week's Masked Man podcast on the Ringer, Shoemaker's guest host made the claim that another good reason to support AEW is that they are changing the business with healthcare. Essentially it was said that if you didn't like what John Oliver said about WWE on Last Week Tonight, you should consider moving your support to AEW.
The implication that AEW is offering healthcare to wrestlers is incorrect. The only wrestlers at AEW that are being offered health insurance through the company are wrestlers who are also working full-time office positions in the company like Cody, The young Bucks, Omega, and Christopher Daniels.
Tony Khan and The Elite have always been cagey when they talk about health insurance, and Khan has referenced helping the wrestlers find ways to contribute to AEW in full time roles, so they would be eligible for benefits. Bumping for business is not seen as enough to earn the benefit of health care for you and your family. You have to contribute the majority of your time to the company to earn that.
The reality is, healthcare is still hugely expensive and offering it to wrestlers who don't serve the company any more than as a wrestler would kill AEW's business model. There are lots of good reasons to support an alternative to WWE but acting like AEW is changing the game with healthcare does a huge disservice to lots of wrestlers still wishing they'd receive healthcare in exchange for the work they do.

AEW will be losing millions upon millions of dollars in their first few years as they build their promotion and audience, so I can understand why they're not offering health insurance at first. This isn't a WWE situation where they've got more money than they know what to do with and are choosing not to make their wrestlers lives better, it's a brand new business that's being built from the ground up. If AEW still don't offer health insurance once they're established and are making a healthy profit then I'll shit on them but until then, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Orange Cassidy can flat-out go in the ring besides the comedy spots, so I wouldn't be opposed to AEW bringing him in at all.

Yea it's not like he can't reinvent himself if he gets on AEW. Watch his match with David Starr if you want to see OC actually wrestle.

Orange Cassidy getting the Joker card, just casually sauntering into the ring and then lazily lifting the last other guy exhausted against the ropes out of the ring would be the most OC thing ever.

Cassidy is like an anime character, he hides his true power level.

Sounds like number 21 is supposed to be a surprise/make an impact from the way they were talking to poor Brandon.
