That's legitimately a huge get. Cassidy is a guy that will attract a lot new eyes with his kind of comedy they can appeal to a broad audience. A view him as talented improv guy that can also go in the ring when he needs to. Very gif-able, which is important these days.
He flips a switch and then actually wrestles. He's extremely athletic and can do some impressive stuff.
Even when he's doing his schtick he's doing things that requires a lot of strength and control.

Not a chance, all his best mates are at aew and can also give him a nice big bag of money, on top of creative freedom of his character.

Mexico has the talent to replenish the USA scene, it's just a matter if the promoters will actually watch anything and bring them in.

I've watched some videos on YouTube that popped up on my front page before DoN. Made my wife (who generally think wrestling is kinda boring bar some gimmicks) watch some of him and she laughed her ass off.

That already happens. The issue I see is that only some promoters can get luchadors visas. Even a mid size indie like GCW can not get visas for Los Macizos.
MLW seems to be one of the few indies that can get lucha talent visas in a timely matter.
Still, the USA scene is going to look dire.
Down the line, I'd like to see Orange Cassidy do a 'split personality' gimmick where he's his typical slow self until putting on a luchador mask and completely changing personality. Just have the announcers straight sell it as a different person, Clark Kent style.
