Allegations laid against Brony YouTuber, Toonkriticy2k regarding conversations with minors

Something recent happened today and i have to talk about it. Today Toonkriticy2k - who is an extremely popular Brony Youtuber in the Community has been accused of let's just say extremely questionable actions involving a 14 year old girl. Brony Youtuber - Moliminous detailed that basically ToonKritic had been in contact with a 14 year old minor who was a fan of MLP. The girl was a fan of his and they had been talking on Skype and eventually ToonKritic asked the 14 year old if she could come to the Brony Conversation and have sex with him as well as asking her to show questionable images of her. The Girl basically realised what ToonKritic had been doing but out of fear but a third party had been recording the skype calls that ToonKritic had been doing with this girl and yesterday it all came out. ToonKritic doesn't deny these allegations and basically admitted to them happening.





Fellow Brony Joshscorcher also had a few things to say about this in his tumblr which is here: http://joshscorcher.tumblr.com/. As a former fan of Toonkritic - this i am very angry at what Toonkritic has done and it makes complete sense that he is getting blacklisted from the Brony Community.

This is not the first time that Toon has been in controversy - he has been given multiple chances by the Brony Community for his actions and he has always been forgiven (they didn't know about this though)

Hopefully this individual will not be forgiven again. I pray he stays away from children as well. As a father, reading things like this really strikes a nerve.

Much like any other creative community, it's one where your "fame" depends on sharing, posting and referencing your work - be it videos, fanart or music - on social media platforms like Youtube, Twitter, tumblr or forums/websites/news aggregators. It's really not that much of a stretch.

I've been out of the loop for way too long to recognize the name, but good on the community to not wanting anything to do with people like that story depicts.

Except I dunno which mod gave the warning. Last I checked the old place had a mod that turned out to be a pedophile...

Read his initial post again. His post essentially states sarcastically, "wow a brony turns out to be a creep, who would have guessed?!" implying that bronies are all creeps and something like this shouldn't be a surprise. I mean hey, I'm not a fan of bronies or really care or w/e, but it's kinda fucked up and a detriment to discussion to blanket paint an entire community as being creeps for being fans of a cartoon.

Imagine if I walked into a similar thread with the accusation facing a prolific Nintendo gamer and said "wow who would have guessed a Nintendo fan is a creep, what next??"

See what I mean?

Apparently they have been exchanging erotic role play, he sent her porn, asked for inappropriate/sexy pictures, and invited her to share a hotel room at a convention.

Not every brony is a creep but the proportion of creep is significantly higher than other fan communities like Nintendo or Adventure Time etc.

That's disgusting, how old is this individual? Hopefully the police get involved. Maybe my answer is in the video, but I'm not clicking on that link.

How though? According to you, it's wrong to assume a brony is a pedophile. Sure. I'll agree with that. But then is it not wrong to also assume a Trump supporter is a racist?

So why does one get a warning, and the other does not?

I used to be part of a blogging community, with a big Brony community. Never seen anyone that different from the, Anime or Comics community.

That's different, Trump is a racist who spouts racist rethoric all the time so a lack of surprise at a Trump supporter also being a racist is justified.

On what grounds? How many "creeps" have you seen that also happen to be bronies? And by creeps in the context of the thread, it implies adult bronies preying after minors, which you are saying is commonplace amongst this fanbase?

A Trump supporter voted a racist, so they endorse racism. Bronie original source isn't a pedo media and they didn't tie themselves with any pedo, it just happens 1 of them is one. If you don't see the difference I don't know what to tell you.

If you do not see the irony that you're writing, then really, nothing I say will convince you otherwise. Just know that it's both ironic and hypocritical what you just wrote right now.

And of course I get a warning from a mod that's called grizzly, has a bear avatar, and called the bear of love... When I make a reference to another mod of another forum being a pedophile.

I can't be the only one laughing at this irony can I?

To put it plainly - enjoyment of MLP does not hinge on sexually predatory behavior. Supporting Trump is openly supporting all manner of things which are steeped in prejudice, from racism to homo/transphobic rhetoric. You can't separate him from that because it is the basis for his entire platform.

At best, an avid Trump supporter can claim to not care about the spread of racist ideologies and implementation of racist policies. You can't operate on "all Bronies are paedophiles till proven otherwise" policy in the same manner.

Also, you'd probably still receive a warning if needlessly inflammatory to someone that says they support a single Trump policy.
