I used to have a FireTV, last year I switched to Firestick 4k, seemed exactly the same except smaller form factor. Same speed, same menus. Works great.

Nice work.
Those kids tablets are awesome. Got one for my 3yo niece Christmas before last, and it's incredible. It's restricted to just kids stuff, so there's no worrying. And the thing has held up flawlessly. She's actually learned a lot of stuff from it. Most of the apps are educational in nature.

I agree. I've owned a fire stick and a 4K fire stick. Both had internet connectivity issues but the 4K more so, especially while streaming 4K.
Got the 4K roku stick. No issues whatsoever, all apps I wanted are available without side loading (vudu). Bought another and sold the fire sticks.
I hope the hype props up the share price you all find great deals XD. In all seriousness, I haven't checked the Prime Day offerings in a long time and usually found them lacking the one or two years I did. But, I may snag the Turbo-Grafx16 mini console.
For me, Roku Ultra has a lot of handshake issues and the apps, such as PlayStation Vue and Netflix, run worse, especially when switching from 1080p to 4k sources. The remote sometimes randomly requires resetting by taking the batteries out. Fire TV never gives me issues. Both are fine, neither are trash.

I got an email from Amex that any purchases made on my Cobalt card on Amazon during prime day gets 5x the membership points. Planning on stocking up on a bunch of essentials.
I've never seen any decent deals on Prime Day before (at least for things I've wanted or needed), so maybe it's an easier choice for me, but support striking workers. Don't shop on Prime Day.
How is Amazon with console controllers? I want to buy an Xbox controller for my PC and the built in Steam Link in my TV but I have heard that Amazon will most likely send a shitty knockoff controller instead of the actual thing.
Huh? Maybe if you buy a knock off but you'll get what you opt for like any other online marketplace. Microsoft probably sell then on there like most brands tend to so it's up to them whether they want to drop the price or not for the sale
There was a thread here a month or so ago where the OP bought a PS4 controller from Amazon and got a knockoff instead, along with the replacement they requested.
I wouldn't worry about one thread. I've bought replacements on there before with no issues personally, but even then if it was somehow a fake you can just refund it with them easily enough.

I caught the Target thing which was great and got a PS4 for $140, but last year I just got DBFighterz and Persona 5 for $34 each which was fine for PrimeDay.
