Amazon Prime Kids movies are Christian themed...

So I got amazon prime thinking it's like Netflix. Boy was I wrong! It's absolute shit! Maybe because I'm in Canada and getting the igloo treatment from Amazon...

Anywho... I was looking at kids and family selection and virtually every other item was Christian-based. I don't know if it's on purpose but the complete lack of quality titles for kids to enjoy was very shocking to me.

Kids section in the US is full of Pokémon and other animated shows.

As well as collections of YouTube clips.

Oh man, you should see their holiday selection...

Prime is very mediocre in terms of available movies. I will give them credit, though...they have a ton of A24 films available for streaming.

You only got it for the video and didn’t think to check the selection before signing up?

OP signs up for service before checking out selection, immediately goes to the kids section.

"Aw man! Where's my Paw Patrol, Bezos!"

Yeah, come back in like three years when their billion dollar shows start airing.

Prime video for me is just an extra benefit of having an Amazon Prime account like Twitch Prime and Prime photos. I would never recommend it over other services even though it does have some good content on it.

Unlike Netflix, Prime is more of an addon. Though it does put out excellent series such as Ms. Maisie. It's not as strong, it's not worth it on its own, but it's not a throaway either.

Christian content creators are more concerned with evangelizing than getting paid*, so it’s cheap filler content for Amazon.

* I’m sure they want money too, but are willing to take less because they see a “higher purpose” in spreading their content further.

Oh shit, I didn't realize that Ms Maisel was out. It is available in Canada?

My son started watching something called Veggie Tales on Netflix

Never heard of it before over in the UK and I thought it was just standard kids fare then noticed it ends with ‘remember kids, god loves you and made you special’ then watched an episode and a tomatoe is talking to a courgette about bible verses - random

Edit - just looked it up seems it’s been around forever over in America, ignore me

The only thing I use Amazon Prime Videos for is The Grand Tour, I'd say Mozart in the Jungle but in Australia that stuff is dumped onto Stan.
