Man, I still need to buy the Smash Mario Amiibo that went up on Target. I'll get all those Ultimate Amiibo later.

Got all the new Smash amino preordered beside the Inkling which in not sure if Amazon ever put up for order.
I'm sure its probably well known but Gamestop has original Smash Link and Samus now. I don't think they're exclusive,but it seems like each store must have gotten a group of smash figures for restocks.
Is Wolf sold out everywhere except GameStop? Trying to get it as a gift but not trying to pay their shipping fees if I can avoid it.
I see K Rool and Ice Climbers on Best Buy but Piranha Plant only has a "coming soon."
Must've sold out of their allotment. I pre-ordered all 3 when they first went up. Should be back up within the next couple months.

Preordered them all as you don't need to pay until up to a week before dispatch. Don't want to pay more for them so will cancel items and order on Nintendo UK or Amazon as and when, but nice to have a backup in case I miss any.

Good lord. I've not been keeping up to date on amiibo! I still have all of the ones that are currently out and released (except for Japan only ones), but am getting way behind on pre-orders. I'm also running out of shelf space. I've actually been thinking about getting this and just throwing them all in there!

Been meaning to ask about this.... In the boxed sets, the Amiibo box are blank white, like gold Mega Man was. I saw a pic that someone owned one with a fully visual box. I wonder where that one came from?
My pre-order still says Dec 7 though...Octolings came today, didn't expect how big the Octobrush would be! Nice set.
I didn't even realise the dates were different, UK was released today.

Found this really cool new amiibo the other day at Walmart.
I dunno..is walmart just doing away with having these out on the shelves? That kind of takes away some of the appeal I think for customers who don't have them.
Best Buy seems to have fresh shipments of Pac-Man and Ness, if anyone was looking for those.
Wouldn't surprise me. I know Target has largely done away with a dedicated space for them (I was lamenting a few months ago that Hello Neighbor had a large display while the remaining Lotties were tossed at the bottom of the shelf). Even now, with Target seemingly getting Smash Mario and Pikachu from the re-releases, I'm just seeing them on top of the gaming sections or tossed into the general Nintendo merchandise section.

It feels like forever since I was excited about amiibo launching and yet here we are a few days away from more Smash and I am pumped.
Also going to play Yoshi's Woolly World for the first time soon and will be scanning my amiibo to unlock costumes :)

It's actually.... nice having smaller sets and spread out apart. Looking forward for my 3 Smash and Splatoon 2 3-pack to come in from Best Buy :) Also really looking forward to the next few sets with Ice Climbers etc.
I bought my first Amiibo the other day. Twilight Princess Link! I wanted it for its Breath of the Wild content, but I have to admit now that I see it up close I just love the way it looks, too.

Your going to wish a number of Amiibo from older lines weren't expensive, the deeper you go into collecting these things.

Well my amiibo finally shipped so here's hoping they arrive tomorrow and if not Saturday! I have a few I'm going to open including my Breath of the Wild ones that i've had for a while.
Do we have a list of what amiibos do in Smash Ultimate? I know of the Timmy & Tommy amiibo unlocking something quicker, but that's it. Plus I think it was confirmed you can't unlock characters quickly with their appropriate amiibo. Can you at least get spirits of certain characters?
I found Toon Link, Sheik, Ike and Rosalina all just sitting on shelves today. The restock is real!
Got Ridley and Wolf, as well as Lucario who I saw while getting my Katamari preorder at GS. They had Sheik and Zelda too (as well as Link and Samus, but those have been there).
Not sure how many other reprints I'll be looking for besides Dedede (if that even happens). Greninja might be tempting. For the most part I got everyone the first time around.
Estatic for the eventual Joker amiibo, hopefully it'll release close to him like Plant-boy and not later in 2019.

Tested some amiibo for Smash Ultimate for non-playable characters. These amiibo will give you spirits:
- Shovel Knight
- Waluigi
- Wolf Link (gives you Midna)
- Tiki
- Chibi-Robo
- Callie or Marie (Squid Sisters are one spirit, Squid I think is fighter data for Inkling)
- Boo
- Toad
- Goomba
- Koopa
- Waddle Dee
- Pikmin (gives you one spirit for each colored Pikmin)
I would imagine most, if not all AC amiibo, aside from Isabelle, will do the same.

Welp, Smash Ultimate has pulled me back into the clutches of Amiibo collecting. I fell off right when Ness came out. I think Shulk was the last Smash Amiibo I bought. I have about 30-35 I need to get to finish the Smash collection.
Anyone know where they might be selling some of these on clearance or atleast cheaper than retail?

This is why there's certain items I don't like picking up from Best Buy in store >_> I've fortunately been able to peel them off of my games/movies etc (or Amiibo had them on the back), but nothing like this yet :x (Unless they were just peeled off really quickly?)
Gotta admit, looking at Ridley & Wolf up close, I can kinda see why they cost a bit more, I'm rather surprised & pleased at the amount of detail there are. Makes me hopeful the human characters like Snake & Simon will turn out a bit better than compared to when we started with people like Marth.

Oof that sticker on Inkling. If you use some Goo Gone that usually helps get that off.
I've been fortunate to F R E E T H E M when I get most amiibo but now I really am super conflicted about stuff like Shovel Knight and even Qbby for getting stuff in smash. The Animal Crossing ones paid off in spades by giving me a ton of great spirits off the bat, so if anyone has been sitting on them, make sure you grab them at like Five Below or wherever they're at now.
Im really sad Shadow Mewtwo doesn't work. That would have been a great one. All of the AC Cards not working makes sense, and the Sports cards not working also make sense since most of the characters have physical ones anyways.
Now, the one that I'm curious about is the Cereal. I could not get the Mario Cereal one to work at all in Smash. Anyone else having that problem?
