Downing Street has said its adviser Andrew Sabisky has resigned, following criticism of alleged past remarks on pregnancies, eugenics and race.
Labour had called for Mr Sabisky to go for reportedly saying black people had lower average IQs than white people.
He is also alleged to have said compulsory contraception could prevent "creating a permanent underclass".
Mr Sabisky tweeted: "I wanted to help the government not be a distraction... accordingly I've decided to resign."
"I know this will disappoint a lot of people but I signed up to do real work, not be in the middle of a giant character assassination," it continued.
"If I can't do the work properly there's no point, and I have a lot of other things to do with my life."

What is Mr Sabisky believed to have said?
In a comment on a 2014 blog post on Mr Cummings' website, made by a user called "Andrew Sabisky", it is suggested that compulsory contraception could be used to stop a "permanent underclass".
"One way to get around the problems of unplanned pregnancies creating a permanent underclass would be to legally enforce universal uptake of long-term contraception at the onset of puberty," says the post.
"Vaccination laws give it a precedent, I would argue."
In a comment on another blog post on a different website in 2014, what appears to be the same user suggested black Americans had a lower average IQ than white Americans.
In a comment on a different blog that same year, a user with his name said: "There are excellent reasons to think the very real racial differences in intelligence are significantly - even mostly - genetic in origin, though the degree is of course a very serious subject of scholarly debate."
Mr Sabisky also suggested to Schools Week in July 2016 that the benefits of a purported cognitive enhancer, which can prove fatal, are "probably worth a dead kid once a year".
"Eugenics are about selecting 'for' good things," he said in the same interview. "Intelligence is largely inherited and it correlates with better outcomes: physical health, income, lower mental illness.
And in a Twitter post from 2019 , he said: "I am always straight up in saying that women's sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men's."
[/QUOTE]

Apparently he was an incel-esque agony aunt on reddit.
In one post, from seven years ago, a man explained that his Mormon wife was reluctant to have sex with him and asked for advice.

Under the username thedovelamenting, Sabisky responded by urging him to try to "rewire" her brain "to the point where she no longer, consciously or subconsciously sees a conflict between a good Christian woman and serving you up 39 flavours of slut on command".

He added: "It ought to be obvious that her wifely duty ought to consist not just of letting you masturbate into her vagina but actively playing her part in building a fantastic sex life with you.

"Yes, that might require pushing through some initial mental discomfort but it is simply selfish and unchristian of her not to make the effort."

Sabisky then urged the man to "take the lead a little bit more".

He said: "Theologically speaking she is your wife and should submit to you as unto the Lord, so if you want doggy then it is your place to command her to get on her hands and knees and her place to obey."

He added: "If you want a blow job you should get one because she is your wife and lover … She's just being selfish really (which isn't very Christian)."

In another post, he recommended that a 26-year-old man looking to lose his virginity pay "lots of money for a really good hooker".

When a woman posted about finding "disturbing porn" on her boyfriend's computer, including erotic fiction about incest, paedophilia and rape, Sabisky told her he didn't "see all that much to worry about here".

THE Prime Minister’s newest adviser once claimed it was a woman’s Christian “duty” to have sex with her husband, The National can reveal.

You know, with Cummings and Johnson, I kinda assumed the guy got fired because he wasn't racist enough. But this is like even farther than you would expect.

This piece of pondscum wasn't dropped fast enough.

Never should have been hired, but these are the times we live in and the increasingly far right direction in which the UK is tracking.

Disgusting government full of monsters.

I doubt he would be allowed into the eugenics program in his current condition anyway.

An advisor who believes black people are intellectually inferior seems entirely on brand for a PM who has openly stated that the best fate for Africa would be for it to be recolonised.

Sabisky's a piece of shit but he's not the one in power. Boris' spokesperson repeatedly refusing to distance Boris from Sabisky's views is telling.

Yeah so this guy doesn't belong anywhere near power of any kind

One point that people also miss is that the techniques involved don't just work for IQ. Once we map the genetic architectures of other complex polygenic traits like altruism, empathy, extraversion, ethnocentrism and so on, those will also be available for selection in the marketplace (as well as obvious morphological stuff like height). We already know that all these traits are highly heritable (about .4 -.6), but the only reason they appear to be slightly less heritable than IQ may be because we simply don't have such reliable measures of these things as we do IQ (where our measures are excellent), and measurement error due to unreliability inevitably deflates heritability estimates (and conversely inflates the "non-shared environment" component). In fact, selection for these 'moral' traits would also appear to be highly desirable, given the opportunities for ever more sophisticated slaughter being created by today's tech (drones).

Market forces, I guess, will all but compel the above scenario upon us. The God squad & the far more tedious bioethicists will howl and screech and probably succeed in banning many of the techniques for a short while, but the spectacle of the wealthy making conveniently timed trips to Beijing and Singapore will soon persuade Western governments that their national health services can and should be put to better use.

Any Tory who cries character assassination after what they and their friends in the media did to Corbyn can fuck right off with extreme prejudice.

Too bad about the Storm and Caroline Flacks death over the past few days, this story has been swept right under the carpet. I think it had like 30 seconds in the news earlier....

I don't find it surprising that this Government hired a white supremacist as an advisor. Par for the course for them.

"resigned"

When your presence causes the prime minister to be asked questions like "Do you think black people are less intelligent than white people" you don't resign. You get fired.

While I don't believe every Conservative MP is a racist, or a sexist, or a homophobe, I do believe they all covertly subscribe to the existence of an "underclass" comprised of people who are inferior to them, which is probably why Sabisky's views weren't seen as extreme enough to disqualify him from working for the current government.

So, while Sabisky is definitely on the pointy end when it comes to the sheer scope of his awful, backwards views on... well, everything, this should serve as a good reminder that a lot of British politics still operates on an "us and them" basis - one that lends itself to more insidious perspectives like Sabisky's slowly worming their way into legitimate political discourse.

between this PoC, the floods and Javid quitting last week, BoJo is finding it hard at the top.. he thought it would be a wheeze, and he could just hide in the FM's house and not do any work!.. he didn't hire Cummings so he could actually do anything!.. and still we await the Russian dossier report, and who funded his £15k holiday in the sun over the christmas / new year period..

He didn't get fired because of his views, but because he'd shared them publicly, and let the mask slip.

We're not going to see any accountability from the people responsible for hiring him.

Absolutely true. The enforcement of austerity was predicated on the idea that there is a undeserving class of layabouts draining the system. They used to call it being "feckless" (some of them still use this word) in Victorian times. No matter what way you slice it, its involves demonizing the poor and needy. Distracts from what the rich are doing at the top.

There are reports he was fired (not his choice) because of the sexist comments that were published this morning. Apparently the eugenics and blatant racism wasn't enough. Fuck this government.

That's conservatism 101 though.

Yup. Cameron spent years making the concept of deserving and underserving poor mainstream again, while hidind it behind a veneer of false concern for the poor. They have just gone back to the basic, unvarnished version now.

It would be in and out of the headlines after a day or two anyway. Nobody has held the government to account for a long time and this is what happens when they go "Fuck it" and take full advantage.

Cummings calls for new and different ideas in government. Proceeds to hire people that are exactly like him and agree with him on every single topic. I guess he missed the new and different ideas part in the logical for his hiring process.

Any one notice that the "freethinkers" and "champions of free speech" exists in a bubble just as big as the so called "leftist" and "SJW" they are supposedly reacting to? Their ideas of "freethinking" and "free speech" don't extend beyond "my thinking" and "my speech". Cummings truly wants new ideas? How about he hire someone that isn't a yes man lap dog and fawns at his every word.

That's not what he wants at at all nor was it the purpose of the drive which is obvious to everyone. From start this was a power coop, traditional conservative types don't like him so he wanted to flood the place with his types, the so called odd balls.

I know that's not what he wants. I'm saying that in terms of optics (which is what he's clearly going for else he'd have just listed the job as "like minded people that agree with me") it failed miserably.

He got the optics he wanted aside from this incident. You seem to be ignoring that a lot of the British public are right wing and xenophobic. The change they want is less immigrants and maybe better funding but mostly just less immigrants. They see the current establishment as preventing that so he was mainly appealing to them. It was never about improving government efficiency they're going out of their way to ensure the public doesn't know how efficient they are.

I remember when I was teaching a General Psych class while in graduate school and, no shit, the textbook and the premade PowerPoint slides had a "factoid" when discussing IQ that stated whites had an average IQ of 100 and blacks had an average IQ of 90. I made the mistake of keeping the slide in during the first semester, but removed it before 2nd semester started. I felt so guilty relaying that information to the students. I can't stand that sort of shit being propagated as "fact."

I had a teacher in college (in dublin not the UK) who taught psychology and English. We were talking about Jekyll and Hyde one day and she just randomly went on a rant about how 'the blacks' are genetically faster than us but we'll Be able to out think them.
