I've used well over 100 bait to try and get the stringfish. Golden trout are just rare although still way more common than the damn stringfish.

I have unlocked Photopia 2 days ago and a lot of special characters Amiibo are not supported (so not in the game). A bit sad but the game is fantastic anyway.
I was wondering :
-When will C.J or Flick begin to visit my town ? The town Hall construction will start tomorrow.
-is there any way to bring the new special characters to Photopia ?

I've found online to be good. When I first tried it, there were a few crashes, but since then It's been stable for me. Even when I'm from Australia and there's others from Europe, America etc. on the same island. Meeting lots of cool people. Loving the social aspect and writing on the noticeboard, giving presents etc.

I've moved one of the villager buildings, so yes, it takes a day and the building still occupies its own space until the next day, too, while simultaneously having construction for the relocation.

For the Golden Trout, I read that you fish it from the clifftop river. is that the lil river that connects the highest level pond to the lower level pond, or is it the river on the second level?

What kind of tatami stuff?
So I'm guessing it wouldn't be possible to move something over one space off from where it currently is because both spots need to be available?
I have 2 tatami floors one says tatami, the other says rush tatami.
Keep in mind you can't get it until after 4pm, and you need to be on the cliff river (I went on the uppermost level). I farmed bait from the beach for a while and then eventually got it.

I've got a craft plan for a mirror from a balloon. edit: oh yeah maybe not from a balloon, just "story-related".
For the customisable phone case, use a craft table to customise your phone.
Have you not gotten the Wooden Mirror DIY yet? I feel like the game makes sure to drop that recipe early on.
Depends. The night they informed me there would be shooting stars, it was cloody and I saw 3 in 30-45 minutes.

Just spent nearly 70 bait trying to catch either a marlin or an Oarfish (can't catch Coelecanth or Barreleye right now), no luck. Plenty of bloody Tuna though :'( every time I get the heavy rumble I think "this is it" then bloody Tuna!

Are there any gameplay differences between local and online modes? My roommates and I all play on separate Switches in the house together but we select online mode. Are we missing anything this way, or is local simply an option for players who do not wish to go online in a more traditional sense?

Today I visited to a place I dub tryhard island, which is the place a friend has been making for over a month. Interesting to see what you can achieve with terraforming, I recommend people lookinto this as early as humanly possible, because it's going to be really expensive if you want to change things around later.

I don't know the answer to the first question, but there are no fortune cookie items from NL in the game right now.
Damn dog... I would assume Nintendo is holding them back for promotional items (Imagine an in-game event for MP4 where you got Samus's helmet), but I hope that it is the case and they're not gone entirely.
