Welcome to the Fall (also known as Autumn) 2019 Anime OT! The end of the year is nearing ever closer, so lets end it big with a new season of anime full of pleasant surprises and…..production train wrecks. Will we find out how a man with a gun for a face eats in Gun No Life? Will Genzo be able to nuzzle all the furry creatures he wants during his isekai adventure in Kemono Michi: Rise Up? Finally, will Geno Studio's show, Pet, air this season even though they keep on claiming it will despite not showing any footage? Find out these questions and more as this season unfolds!

8QNhbD6.png

The following are some of the potential highlights for this Fall season of anime. Like always, some of these will turn into duds and unforeseen gems in this season could have been overlooked.

Included in this season of the highlights is the Ecchi/Gore warnings which range from None through High. These are the somewhat expected levels of these two potentially off-putting aspects of an anime in each of the highlighted shows. These are iffy ranges, that could be completely thrown off both by changes from the source material and director choices. This iffyness is even more present in original anime or stuff that is being adapted based off properties that have no translations in the west (thus no research/idea of what to really expect in these two areas). So, don't take them as the gospel but rather as an expected range of what you may find in each of these shows.

Even so, not only is she able to score a 29-game win streak, but she also manages to beat Haruo seven times in a row. Eager to end her domination, Haruo duels Akira in Street Fighter 2 and resorts to underhanded tactics—which earns him a slap in the face from the shy girl. With no memory of his previous life—or who replaced his head and why—Inui now scratches out a living in the dark streets of the city as a Resolver, taking on cases involving the Extended.
When a fellow Extended showed up in Inui's office—on the run from the Security Bureau with a kidnapped child in tow and asking for help—Inui should have just thrown the guy out. But Inui's loyalty to a brother Extended makes him take the job. The beloved manga, Blade of the Immortal, is getting a new adaption that will attempt to cover all the source material. How well the staff can cut and weave the missing ends together to fit the whole story in, will either make or break this classic work.

"Manji is an immortal swordsman, who has been cursed with eternal life. He has grown tired of living with all the death he has created. He has no skills other than those of killing, thus he forms a plan to regain his mortality: he shall kill one hundred evil men for each good one he has killed. The old witch who afflicted Manji with immortality agrees to Manji's proposition and Manji is set on his path to kill one thousand evil men. On his journey he meets a young girl, Rin, who has her own vengeance to seek against the sword school whose members slaughtered Rin's family. Rin and Manji journey together, each hoping to find some kind of peace. In their way are many varied enemies. Because I'm legally obligated to include in every season highlights at least one Isekai and one Ecchi show. What more can you ask for in a show? It has ecchi, idols, Americans who dress up as ninja, an ojou-sama, jet skis and…. did I mention everyone is shooting at each other while riding said jet skis?

Where can I watch X Show?

Below hidden in the spoiler (For the sake or room and people on mobile who don't want to load so many images) is the Who Has it Tables + Key. These tables list all the shows this season and will show which streaming service of the main eight services will be streaming it. Please note, these tables don't consider weird deals like Fate being a month delayed on Crunchy; nor does it mean that said service has the show in your region. These Charts will be updated as each streaming service announces more of their lineup.

Not sure where the show descriptions are coming from, but a heads up that our wolf from Beastars is officially Legoshi in the Viz translation (as a take-off on Bela Lugosi, per the manga's author). Definitely looking forward to that one, as well as maybe No Guns Life.

Ascendance of a Bookworm keeps getting robbed. Also I never see people talking about pet and Babylon (not the Fate one), thought they would be more hyped up.

Hm. This might be the season I can cancel my Crunchyroll sub for, sadly. I was only watching Fruits Basket on it last season.

Keeping hope that Radiant Season 2 is going to be a better adaptation than the first one...

Otherwise I think I'll watch Blade of the Immortal, Beastars, and maybe No Guns Life.

There are some good episodes here and there, but it ended up being not nearly as good as I had hoped based on the OVA. If anything, just watch the OVA as I found that to be stellar in comparison.

Angel Beats! 9

The bedridden Kanade gets taken care of by Yuzuru while the apocalypse inside her mind rages. This is suspiciously familiar... Oh, now they're going to guard Kanade? Well, it's a mystery what they're guarding since any one of the angels could be in control when she awakes. Fatigue gets to him as he dozes off...

Yuzuru wakes up on that derailed train. there's hurt people around him, and probably dead ones too, but he seems fine. He takes control of the situation and gets all the survivors out and treated. Being a medical student helps, but it doesn't help him to discover their tunnel is caved in. Once things have settled, he prospects the other end to discover it's also caved in! Oh, God... It's at this moment he realizes the grave injury in his abdomen. OH, GOD DA—so ends day 1.

Day 2: We fought over supplies and wasted some water. Not to worry, it was only my share. He accepts this penalty so that things don't get worse. Day 3: The most injured person passes away... I couldn't do anything... His sister's lesson, that life's worthwhile, gets tested each passing day. Day 7: If only my sister had gotten a donor... Yuzuru has nothing to do but think. These thoughts get him to fill out the donor section on his ID before it's too late. He chooses everything. Everyone else does too since it gives them a little peace of mind to possibly leave behind something—anything. Rescuers arrive just as Yuzuru exhausted the last of his strength.

2UtOoN3.png

Caresses to his head rouse Yuzuru awake. It's really Kanade. She beat herself. What a miracle! Anyway, becoming a doctor in memory of his sister ended in a figurative literal train wreck. Faith that his organs saved someone was his only solace. Kanade caresses his cheek and tells him that person is eternally grateful.

However! Yuzuru hasn't departed. What's going on? Kanade suggests he must still have a regret. Yes, there's no leaving until he's sure everyone else has found peace. Yes, this was Kanade's motive all along. Who could have guessed that? Not these stupid characters, at least. Yes, everyone here couldn't live out their youthful days. Who could have guessed that? Not. These. Stupid. Kids. I blame Yuri. Let's not forget she shot first. Because Yuzuru and Kanade are still here for the same reason, they've encountered a conundrum: Who is going to disappear first! In any case, she wants to do it together. With him. So he asks for her help with the rest first.

Kanade's back as the student council president and everything's set up to end with Yuri and then Yuzuru and Kanade in some order. They're going to keep this from Yuri and leave her for last, so Kanade and Yuzuru decide for the angel to continue existing. They're hoping it's as easy this way as the crusade in her mind was.

7PAmxdH.png

The usefulness of being a medical student is so blown out of proportion and is too convenient at the same time. It doesn't help that the rest of the survivors were practically useless—actual adults included. Why are they even here? To make Yuzuru look selfless as he "saves" them all from complete despair in the end. Cool.

It's really lame to keep the back end of Yuruzu's history secret until it's most convenient to reveal. Naoi's hypnosis should have been thorough, and if not, it should have been mentioned, so this information was deliberately withheld. No, this isn't an unreliable narrator case, at least I don't think so. What's more, it's silly to think that the rescuers—that must have just moved tons of rubble—didn't bother to notify the people trapped inside someway, somehow. The survivors couldn't even hear the necessary machinery at work? I'm no scientist, and I know sound needs unobstructed space to travel efficiently, but still... not to mention they had no light in there. All their light sources, including phones, probably drained quickly, so how could they all circle the right areas on their identity cards, let alone read them?

That said, Yuzuru and/or Kanade work as characters if critical thinking is suppressed. The rest of the characters can take a hike though... And then the writing has to lampshade it all by stating that the Afterlife Battlefront has been taking the long way around the issue. It's taken further with the gall to call it ironic. Finally, it tells the viewer that the set up was obvious. Way to depreciate your story and audience at the same time. Characters don't necessarily die at the end of their stories by the way, but they do act like they did so they may as well have. Anyway, how this afterlife is satisfactory when the majority of the people are NPCs is beyond me.

The only important thing left that isn't out in the open is Kanade's history. It's mostly been foreshadowed already though, especially after this episode (images).

I want to say it's worth watching, but if you didn't like it from the get-go, then it probably won't convince you otherwise.

Hmmmm.... I don't like the direction Reccoa seems to be going. Is it attraction to Scirocco? The man gives of creep vibes that can be felt through space.

Random mobile suit fleet turns up? I'm guessing Zeon remnants.

Hey animEra, maybe I got more luck here than with google: I wanted to try out Crunchyroll Premium to watch Food Wars S3 with my GF, but when I input my credit card info the site asks about my Zip/Postal code. When I input it and try to activate it, it just gives me an error. When I put nothing in it, it tells me I need to put a code in. I tried 99999 and 00000 (like when you're buying a metro card in NYC as a foreigner) but that didn't work either.

Did that happen to any of you? Did you manage to make it work?
Also I really wanna start watching JoJo without having to look at 6 ads for a 20min episode.

Going to watch:
-High Score Girl 2
-Beastars
-Blade of the Immortal
-Kemono Michi: Rise Up (Not sure if it will be good or not but the Princess suplex sounds good)
-Chihayafaru 3 (Gotta rewatch the first two seasons first though)

Anyway, still watching the rest of Madoka and I gotta say, I have made a mistake waiting this long to watch it. I was turned off from it years ago because of the young characters but thankfully it isn't what I would have thought it would be and is instead a legitimate good anime. Gotta binge the rest today as I am free.

I watched Fate SN, Zero and UBW. I'm good for the new Fate series?
Its an adaptation of one of the singularities from FGO, so it's going to assume you've either played it or have an idea of the premise behind FGO. There's 7 singularities and this is the 7th one which they're adapting because it won a fan poll. (Alongside Camelot which is being adapted into two movies)

There's an OVA which covers the prologue of the game called First Order, and there's an episode 0 for Babylonia as well. That's about the gist of animated stuff that could introduce you and the rest would be playing or diving through summaries on a wiki. It's very much meant for people who like FGO and want to see that stuff animated, but if you like Fate you'll probably be able to enjoy it. (Camelot and Babylonia are also regarded as some of the best parts of FGO.)

Why is this series so complicated? 😂 It's Kingdom Hearts tier.
