Welcome to the Spring 2019 Anime OT! Will Ikuhara manage to pull off his vision with Sarazanmai, even though he's been given the least amount of run time out of all his animes to do it this time? Will we finally reach the basement in Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2? Finally, will One Punch Man Season 2 attempt to prove to us that the horrible PV shown to us, as well as the known terrible production schedule for this project are somehow minor issues (they are not) it will overcome? These three questions and more will be answered as this new anime season unfolds over the coming months.

Saw this in latest threads & decided to check it out on a whim even though I don't really watch anime anymore, and what?? New Ikuhara?? Best fluke choice I've made lol, I guess I'm following a new show for the first time in a long while.

I'll be continuing with OPM, AoT, and Monogatari. Haven't decided yet what new shows I'll pick up. I may just wait a couple of weeks to see what everyone is talking about.

I hope to god Fruits Basket wrecks me.
it will when you are enjoying it and then you find out that it's going to go on break.
Funimation has already started calling it season 1, so I imagine it's going to take a break for a few months after 24-26 episodes, and if it ends up being 70 some episodes like I would expect likely a second break for 3 months aaround episode 50-52

It annoys me my top two interests for the season are Netflix (so I have to pointedly ignore anyone posting about it as it airs and we'll get it approximately 3 months after they have moved on) or Funimation (where I can't justify subscribing to yet another streaming service for one show).

Kimetsu no Yaiba hype. First impressions from the movie showing of the first five episodes are very positive from what I've seen.

Otherwise AoT should be great, I hope they nail the action.

Aside from that I'll carry on watching JoJo (more King Crimson fuckery is always enjoyable) and Karakuri circus.

Otherwise, isn't that Ultraman CGI anime supposed to come out this month? I might watch that too.

I hate to break it to you, but Fruits Basket is only airing for 1 cour before taking a break.

Can't wait for Sarazanmai and Carol & Tuesday.
AoT as well but I'll be watching it only when all episodes are out.

There are also some interesting movies coming out this season.

Speaking of Netflix, did Children of Whales get S2 confirmed at some point in long gone past or is it just my imagination going haywire ?

Shame, that we need to rely on fansubs, or wait till summer for it to be officially release.
yeah, I really wish Netflix would properly release all their series. They obviously have the ability to release them week by week, but no they must wait for the dub in the US.

Please let Kimetsu be good. Only one I'm really looking forward to. Carole and Tuesday sounds interesting. And I guess I'll reluctantly watch the first few episodes of One Punch Man.

We (not me) are constantly workshopping ideas for this thread and we thank you for your input.
It's not a bad idea. Maybe just slow down the scrolling next time? It's a bit hard to follow. Or make it, like, manually scroll-able. If that would not amount to undue effort. Maybe also a little bigger. And maybe some colourful flower rimmings, since it's spring? But, of course, I don't mean now. Maybe next year? Again, if it's not too excessive. Maybe also italicise, bold, underline, capitalise or all-of-the-above random words in the summary to make it all exciting-like, like you'd find in comics? That would be fun, I think.
Anime is real to me, and so can you!

Ready for Carole & Tuesday, Watanabe is going to deliver Kids on the Slope IN SPACE. Besides that new anime season is always fun I watch most of the episode 1's on CR going in blind and decide from that point.

I hope Carole and Tuesday is good. Is it releasing all it once on Netflix or airing weekly in Japan and then months later hits Netflix with a dub as well?
