Luckily for you, if you want to watch it, it's available just now on Gundam.info's rotation. Not at very high quality but it's watchable if you've have two hours to spare.

I haven't heard Netflix get it. The first season was a Funimation license, so I would expect them to announce it soon.

Legit surprised it took this long for this show to happen- this is a golden idea for an ecchi anime that I would have assumed someone would have pitched years ago.

I just found out that this season there is apparently a isekai where the main hero marries his own daughter, that disgusting shit is even being streamed on Crunchyroll
The anime is unlikely to get that far in its adaptation of the light novels, so in that respect it won't really be any different than the other wholesome-in-itself-but-with-a-dodgy-ending-in-the-source anime everyone compares this one to. The pornographic sexual assault imagery in something like Sword Art Online is a better example of moral depravity in anime, I think.
New anime was revealed at Anime Expo closing ceremony. It's call Gibiate I think, and has Yoshitaka Amano as the character designer (he is coming to AX next year along with a premiere of the show).
Amano is cool, but this teaser looks awful. Time to just go watch Angel's Egg again.

Ensemble Stars 01
Ensemble Stars was my most looked-forward to anime this season- of all the cute idol boy mobile games, Enstars has always struck me as the most popular in the west. I can go to an anime con and find tons of Enstars items in artist alleys and on the dealer floors, while something like Idolmaster SideM is going to be limited to a single booth. While the SideM anime was great, it suffered from a very obvious lack of budget (ie, it looked like dogshit), and it cut the cast of the game in half, removing a ton of characters to allow enough time with the characters it left to make an impression. And while Enstars clearly has a better budget than SideM, I am worried that it's attempting too much.
In the OP, we are shown approximately 50 characters, while this episode featured less than a dozen and really only focused on 5 of them. Another problem comes from the fact that this takes place in a single school- when the characters are in school uniforms, everyone looks the same and the only way to tell any of them apart is by their hair. In most anime, when we are focused on a school, every character of note has some variation to help us tell them apart- one character might not button the top button, another will have a visable t-shirt of a unique color underneath, a 3rd will wear the tie differently, etc. Here, there are no varations- which is going to make following 50 some characters even harder
I'm going to be watching each episode twice- Funimation is dubbing this show for some insane reason, and I have to see how they are going to handle it, but i'm worried that what I was hoping would be a window into a fandom I admire might end up being a bloated mess that only established fans can end up enjoying

its this weird sense of relief watching Shirobako again after A Place Further Than The Universe because I love both shows but Universe I needed a break after every single episode because of its climax-heavy design, whereas with Shirobako I can't stop shotgunning these episodes. I've watched like 18 in three days somehow. I guess almost every episode in Shirobako ends with a cliffhanger or a 'what will happen next' moment though, unlike Universe which crams a more or less complete story in every ep.
Yeah, Shirobako will do that to you. I put on episode one a while back for one scene and by the end of the weekend I binged the whole thing.

yeah. also to add insult to injury nobodys picked up the rights in au so i'll have to figure out which region has english subbed blu rays I can properly pick up. at least crunchy has it on-demand
