Kevin Penkin is doing Tower of God!!! It's like the universe saw that I needed some good news

and a new trailer

Staff and cast:
Takashi Sano (Sengoku Basara: End of Judgement, Transformers: Energon) is directing the anime at Telecom Animation Film (Lupin the Third: Part 5, We Rent Tsukumogami, Orange). Hirokazu Hanai (Dances with the Dragons, Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas) is the assistant director. Erika Yoshida(Trickster, Namu Amida Butsu! -Rendai Utena-) is in charge of series composition. Masashi Kudo (Bleach, Hayate the Combat Butler!) and Miho Tanino are designing the characters. Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss, The Rising of The Shield Hero) is composing the music.

I really hope they do the series justice, it has so much potential to absolutely blow up. Penkin doing the OST is fantastic.

the more i watch railgun, the more it really bothers me that people know this chick can alter their memories and don't see that as any kind of problem

Not a great staff list but whatever.

Haikyuu!! S4-8.

Oh God a new player, this cast is already too damn big. Are they trying to start building the 3rd year replacements? I will stop watching the day Suga is not in their team.

This is super cool:

For those unfamiliar with the name, Hirao is responsible for directing the best Garden of Sinners entry, Paradox Spiral.

Insomnia hitting me hard tonight. Decided to browse Amazon Prime Video and I see Robot Carnival is available. Yes. I haven't seen this since I was a little kid, it was my introduction to anime. This is awesome. Worth missing sleep.

That said, are there any more recent anthologies like Robot Carnival out there?

Ohtsuka will be kind of wasted. Can't wait to hear more from him in season 27.

The back and forth between Caiman's perspective to Shin's is an interesting experience, I'm not really conflicted about what side 'to root for' so much as 'what's going to happen' or 'what am I going to learn'. The mystery around Caiman's nature has its intriguing qualities but that feels secondary to the characters, world and their interactions as they hunt for the truth. To the point I'm low-key relieved that revelations give little to nothing away. Episode 7 however gave something big away and it's good in its own way that this is the latest episode I've had to catch up on. I just hope this is just yet another piece of a giant puzzle as we explore this unique world and engaging characters.

This is garbage. Absolutely nothing of interest has happened. I'm not going to stop because a friend of mine went through effort to help me to be able to watch this show and I want to be appreciative of that. But from episode 1 till episode 5 the story had not moved at all.

Kinoshita? He's a fairly old member alongside Ennoshita and Narita (Three of them are 2nd years). But since they don't play on the court that much (bench players), they're pretty forgettable :D. Well maybe except Ennoshita because he got his character development and all. Also if my memory is correct, Narita also subbed in for Karasuno's match against Shiratorizawa last season.

We really need to fire Mineta directly into the sun. Also, Deku and Uraraka should start dating already.

The first half of Richard Jeweller this week was a confused mess. The second had some really beautiful shots out of nowhere.

I mean the ordinary citizen's options are limited and the powers that be almost certainly have counter measures in place anyways

all the more reason that the reactions, or rather the lack of reactions, to her are weird

the latest academia flashed that mind control guy on the screen for a second and it made me remember all the crap he was given even though his power is rather limited, but it's a totally natural and expected thing to happen

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma Kun 20

Ameri focused episodes are a nice reward for the previous arc which dragged on for too long. I bet her dad can actually read Hatsukoi Memories. I hope they can both talk about Iruma honestly as they seem to have a soft spot for humans.

MHA Episode 83:

Well then, we can add grooming to the ever growing list of crimes Mineta is guilty of and I once again ask why is he a thing that needs to exist?

Horrible people taking advantage of you and really nice people that really want to help you. And not in an 'I'm mean cause my character is mean' kinda way, but you really feel like this mean behaviour is in line with their personalities and goals in life. This show is pretty good.

It's shit until, at least, episode 15 or 16 and it only gets moderately good after the first half. And I say this as a Gundam stan.

Kabukicho Episode 18 EngDub

Sad that Sherlock found out about Moriarty this way, but...he was already suspicious and I think Moriarty just wasn't into the thing with everyone again. Whatever happened in prison changed him for the better perhaps. I think he has some endgame in mind for the prisoners that perhaps abused him and maybe his father too...with his sister dead, the killer dead, I just dont think he has anything else to live for than vengeance.

God I'm happy I dropped it. That's too much to slog through to get to the okay bits.
Whenever anyone talks about Gundam ZZ I'll always admit it's an extremely hard sell and certainly not a recommendation. Djinn probably can attest to me warning her not to watch it straight after finishing Zeta.
ZZ is somewhat optional for watching Char's Counterattack but an important foundation for Gundam Unicorn. In fact, it is my opinion that Unicorn makes ZZ retroactively better.
It is understood that a commitment to 50 episodes for a subpar product is not for everyone, only completionists.

How much of a foundation tho? I didn't feel like I was really missing anything by not watching ZZ before Unicorn. Making it seem better in retrospect almost makes me want to try again with ZZ, but the reminder of just how bad the early episodes were stops me in my tracks.

Story wise it's mostly about where Marida really comes from and the part that Neo Zeon plays after the One Year War once the Gryps conflict has ended. For mecha porn fans like myself there's a lot of callbacks as well.
I'll be honest with you, if you bounced from it, I wouldn't go back to watch it. You'll probably just spend 16 hours of your life being miserable for very little return if you've already watched all of Unicorn. I think having watched ZZ works best if you do it before Unicorn but then I don't expect most people to actually follow that route.

If they ever decide to adapt Moon Gundam, ZZ is pretty important to the backstory of that as well.

Magia Record 9

A touching, if tragic story about a girl who was mistreated by her family and peers, and thus could only find solace with a similarly isolated monster. But predictable as it may be, that relationship cannot last, and Sana must now try and rebuild her life with new friends. A solid individual story that also raises more long-term questions. Are all Uwasa artificially made from AI, or was it just Ai? If Ai can grow to properly think and care about others, what does it say about other Uwasa? The show continues to be intriguing.

This is surprisingly better than previous episodes. Sana and AI's scene were pretty somber and bittersweet, until that bitch in hat showed up. >___>

Yeah I understood the guys offer. I mean it's was a totally fair offer and most people would be quite lucky if they were put in that situation which is why the MC was leaning towards it in the end but the guy was totally taking advantage of him in his hour of need. It's was a good offer but I can understand the revulsion it elicited from the MC initially especially considering the background of the two. The managers offer was just awful but her backstory and outlook as a result of that makes it obviously she's the personification of being cynical though you can't really says she's totally wrong but she's clearly doing it entirely for her own benefit.

If you go to an anime movie in a theater for the love of god take a shower sometime beforehand. I beg of you.

MHA: Heroes Rising

Enjoyable time, ending sequence was incredibly hype. There are some definite spoilers in there if you aren't caught up with the manga, so be warned. Worst part was the above.
