Im all in for Anthem, Ive taken a week off from work for the release. With so much riding on this game from bio ware, It doesn't even matter to me if its Amazing or a dumpster fire. Ive paid my 2 bits and its going to be a show either way.

i'm in the wait and see camp for this one. I've yet to see any notable examples of how this is not a destiny clone.
Even if it's a competent product at launch, destiny 2 has reached a point of maturity that makes it a more appealing buy.
Anthem certainly LOOKS nice but I am going to have to wait and see how much content is there and how good the content is, what sort of end game stuff they have, which I think bioware have been particularly coy about. Every other game that thrives on end game content that had devs intentionally dodging end-game questions before launch have ended up having practically zero stuff to do after you beat the campaign.

my main hope for Anthem is that the dope flying stuff ends up in a singleplayer RPG eventually. wanna jet around in mass effect, or finally fly a griffon in dragon age
(to be clear, I wish BioWare every success with the game, but it's just not my thing so it's hard to get personally excited for it)
We all know the game will be MTX'd out of the wazoo after the $60 admission fee. It is nice and all that they show you all the cool customization stuff, but may be they can do a stream on how many of those customization stuff is included in the base game.
It is very hard to get hyped in this day and age about a title when you know you won't get the full game you already paid for. Last time I checked, this is still an EA game.
I hope it's good but nothing they have shown has hyped me up at all. I'm guessing the marketing blitz starts in January so hopefully we see much more .

Man I'm excited for the game and all but it's fucking weird how they're just not showing anything about the loot at all. They've shown two loot drops in gameplay since the initial E3 2017 reveal, and they've never talked at length (or at all, really) about what types of weapons there are or what perks weapons might have. It's just so strange that for a shared world shooter where loot is a massive focus, they're not talking about about it whatsoever. Interesting loot for people to chase after keeps these types of games afloat.

Yeah, though it does seem that is something they are still tweaking up to launch. For example they were talking on Reddit about how alpha players thought the drop rate for emblems (or whatever they're called in this game) were too scarce so they bumped it up for the next playtest. Going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they are showing the most polished parts first (action gameplay, world) and saving things like loot for when they have it as polished as it's gonna get.
I really hope they go all out with interesting perks, especially considering how insane Andromeda's weapons could get. Like, putting in a mod that turned your normal thermal clip gun into a rail gun or would shoot homing missiles, etc.
One of the best decision Bioware did about the design of Anthem is the fact you can change your class on the go without any penalties. I was playing Destiny 2 yesterday and I really wanted to play as a Hunter, but the thought of needing to play the whole campaign and go through activities again instantly made me give up on doing this. Considering Anthem is also a game to be played for thousands of hours I'm really glad that I'll actually be able to experience the game as a whole without having to replay a lot of stuff on different characters.
