The missions are dull and repetitive. There's the framework for a good game there, but I'm not convinced it actually is a good game.
Unfortunately, I have a PS4. So, I'll have to wait for an actual price drop. You can grab it on PC for $40 already thanks to it coming with graphics cards.
Bottom 50% of all games reviewed on Opencritic is good?
Needed some appropriate music for this thread...
Hoo boy, here we go.
I'm referring more to the barrage "RIP Bioware".Alternately, some of us played the demo and have been watching streamers play the game for the last few days and are subsequently unsurprised by the scores.
I will laugh if Days Gone ends up being the highest reviewed game among the recent bout of releases.
This has me cracking up.Man, a victim of poor timing. This game was destined to fail. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Core gameplay seems to be lacking/boring, though.60-70 range
Core game is very good, but surrounding systems and features and content is lacking. Lots of potential, but a poor start.
This is how it will go overall.
If this game ends up in the high 60s it will be almost as big as the Crackdown thread. Potentially longer if we get spicy tweets from EA or Bioware to fuel fire.Next legendary reviewthread incoming? Probably not as bad as the last one since this isn't exclusive but still.
They said 5-6M until March 31st.Question is how much do they figure it should sell to not be "disappointing" sales like BF5.
It's not mediocre, imo.I don't know why anyone would expect this to be anything other than mediocre at best.
BioWare hasn't made a competitive game since KotOR. Somehow their clunky, dated games were given a pass for the entirety of the seventh generation and then some but it seems their games are finally no longer being graded on a curve.
If anything the full experience is lowering my relatively positive impressions of the demo, technical issues aside, because all the padding for these boring story missions before I can get to the missions that give me good loot is killing me.Alternately, some of us played the demo and have been watching streamers play the game for the last few days and are subsequently unsurprised by the scores.
Game will be fine, but I have seen absolutely nothing over the last few days that made me think the game was demonstrably better (gameplay expereience) than it was in the demo. I liked the demo enough to buy the game at a deep discount, but I was not under any delusions that the game was going to be an 8 or 9/10. I will enjoy it like the Crackdown 3 apologists are having fun playing Crackdown despite it having glaring, ugly flaws. Won't be the first game that had a lot of issues that I found enjoyment in.
...and DMCV
Not a first party exclusive; highly doubt it.Lets see if this will reach 80+ pages like another recent release.
That is because very few people review bad and broken games that deserve 2/10.
The game is what it is, but I REALLY don't like see people saying this will be the end of Bioware.
Lets see if this will reach 80+ pages like another recent release.
Itt's not at all, and most reviewers so far agree with that. The minute to minute is very engaging, which is a huge deal when considering if the game has a foundation to build on/fix the other issues.
poor suckers.
I'm not sure how if the majority of games score better than that. That would be an absurdly low definition of "good." I'd say "good" needs to at least be top quartile.people keep on expecting around that grade
on a scale from 1 to 10, 7 can still be a good game

I want Bioware around a long, long time. While they aren't exactly in their glory days, they still have more than enough talent to make incredible new games and their unique brand of RPG storycrafting isn't something I want to see go away anytime soon.
Anthem is what it is, but when it comes to Bioware...
Inquisition
Andromeda
Anthem
I'm amazed people still have faith in this studio.
PLenty of good games out there with a 70 score mate, you really don't think that's true?I'm not sure how if the majority of games score better than that. That would be an absurdly low definition of "good." I'd say "good" needs to at least be top quartile.
70 usually is not that good for triple A games.
It was a good ride. Rip Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
