Chicago, IL
Protestors, led by Father Pfleger, are planning to shut down the largest expressway in Chicago. The father has stressed that this is a peaceful protest to bring attention to the south side of Chicago and how it is time for action.

The police and IDOT (road department) have thousands of police and trucks blocking two lanes for the protestors. From the sounds of it the protestors want to take over the entire road.

While the "no violence" stuff is admirable, it's not like the right is going to give a shit. They'll still flip out and call them violent extremists for daring to disrupt traffic.

Can confirm. My right winged, asshole of a father is watching this on TV and making any and every negative comment his tiny brain can think of.

Love father Pfleger.

Glad the CPD and the Illinois state police backed down and let them take it over.

And it isn't even necessarily "the right" that is at fault. Chicago is still the Democratic machine. These people are desperate for anything instead of just beefing up police patrols.
