and I have been eagerly awaiting the chance to play Dark Souls 1 for the first time.

Man was I ecstatic when the remaster got announced. But then that was it :(

So I ask, Era: has any thing new concerning DS1 Remastered come to light since its announcement?

Well we now know that Virtuos is behind the Switch version. :P

DS2 scholar is great on ps4, I expect the same quality here.

It's coming out in May, isn't a full priced retail release, and it's a better looking/performing remaster of Dark Souls that includes the Artorias DLC. That's all we know and for the most part that's probably all there is to know.

Darn. Was hoping for rumblings of the next bit of official news. I cannot wait to see some official screens/vids. Hope HDR support is included as well

I had no idea if that was good or not, so I decided to look for them https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtuos

They recently ported L.A. Noire (so they have experience with Switch) and others like the Ezio collection or FF X/XII

Yeah, they're becoming a go to for remasters. They also do contract work on like every other AAA game, from the Uncharted series to Monster Hunter World.
