Red Dead Redemption 2 had fantastic exploration and characterization. If they can be inspired for that (particularly for story, side missions and characterization) hoo boy that'll be awesome. But of course I'll expect hot takes of how this is the worst thing that could happen.
Aonuma and his team were inspired by Skyrim for BotW.
Doesn't mean it actually played like Skyrim.

RDR2 has the best open world of any game released this generation
Game will be great people need to chill out, both Botw and RDR2 were both great in their own ways.
I am a big fan of RDR2, but for all the reasons I don't play Nintendo games. I hope they stay as far away from RDR2's game design philosophy as possible.

Voice actors were fine and plenty of them even work in many parts of the VA industry, as well as some acting and theater acting. The problem was the voice direction being all over the place.
It is in that it too is squarely mechanics first, and that it has a laser sharp focus on one end, a bunch of systems to achieve that, and then it runs with it.
RDR2 is kinda divisive on Era. Most folks either fucking love it or fucking hate it.
