Aren't Snow White and Sleeping Beauty basically the same story?

ppsss.....disney did not came up with those stories.....almost every disney animated feature was merely adapted from the original source material to make it 'disney-like'....
I hated what they did with Mulan. She never would've never snapped Shan-Yu's neck and there wasn't enough color. #NotMuhlan #HackSnyder

One of them had a cool scene that I want to believe inspired the Windwaker's time frozen Hyrule Castle.

Don't worry OP in my head they are the same person. In my defense I did miss out on most Disney movies from when I was younger.
There's like three decades between those films though. That's long enough for Disney to reboot/remake even if that was the case.
Sleeping Beauty was the poor man's Snow White.

Sleeping Beauty's villain was more intimidating than a vain mother who wanted to kill her own daughter.

You're not completely wrong. Sleeping Beauty is partially based on discarded ideas from Snow White. And it was originally supposed to release on the 20th anniversary of Snow White's release before it was delayed.

In the process, they gave us one of the most beautifully animated films ever.
The movie is gorgeous, and the last 15 minutes with the dragon is really fucking cool. Too bad the rest of the film is such a slog

Well Ratatouille didn't have a weirdly shot sex scene, so no.
It's too bad its so catchy.
Snow's White isn't so much better.
Which is also quite catchy too but I like Sleeping Beauty's better.
And sadly, they are the most well-known versions. :/
I mean even Rudyard Kipling's daughter apparently didn't like Disney's version of the Jungle Book. You'd be surprised we've been pronouncing "Mowgli" wrong.
As for the topic, no Snow White and Sleeping Beauty aren't the same story. The differences should be very clear cut.
haha dont get me wrong, Sleeping Beauty's superb.
Just that sometimes it's hilarious on how weird the songs out of context are.
the real jungle book is not exactly a children's tale...the ending is basically snuff film level.
Never read the books myself, but there was one story that made my curious and it was "Red Dog." The way the antagonists are killed looks unpleasant.
