I'm dangerously stuffing a wishlist of books on amazon jp for my trip in september... I'm going to need a dedicated suitcase and a bank loan at this rate...
I like the standard version better than the limited editions.

I bring a shopping suitcase with me every time I go to Japan.
The amount of € saved on wishlist items makes up for a non-negligible part of the ticket.
They also sell good, affordable suitcases.
Double Helix is the artbook and Double Strand is the script book. I've been going through them this evening and there's a ton of text even in the artbook.
Last time, I bought a foldable canvas bag and stuffed all my clothes in it by the end : it ended up like a dirty laundry bag.
The suitcase was then filled with more... important stuff. Who needs clothes anyways.

Those are definitely new. The GBA one might be a day 1 purchase...Not sure if these Bitmap Books titles have been announced or released yet, but their bibliography page lists three books I hadn't heard of before, all listed for 2024:

Thanks - yeah they replied to me on X saying they're not available yet. So I guess they might not have meant to add them on that page so early.Those are definitely new. The GBA one might be a day 1 purchase...
Maybe they're waiting for DLC? (I have no idea whether there'll be dlc)
No DLC unfortunately.Maybe they're waiting for DLC? (I have no idea whether there'll be dlc)

We just left a few hours ago and we ended up just buying a super cheap (like 4900 yen cheap) luggage to fill with the stuff we didn't care about as much to put all the stuff we do care about in our carry on bags.Last time, I bought a foldable canvas bag and stuffed all my clothes in it by the end : it ended up like a dirty laundry bag.

Did botw have a art book?
Amazon canceled my preorder a few week ago.Sea of Stars: The Concept Art of Bryce Kho went up for preorder today on 3dtotal. Went ahead and grabbed it, ships late may it seems. Even has free shipping in US which is refreshing.

what were the differences?Guess I missed some Lost In Cult email since I didn't know that was even a thing. Neet. Wonder if the direct from them book will be different than the amazon one like with the first handheld book.
Thanks for sharing that, wasn't even aware of that website.Sea of Stars: The Concept Art of Bryce Kho went up for preorder today on 3dtotal. Went ahead and grabbed it, ships late may it seems. Even has free shipping in US which is refreshing.
I own it, so yes.
ah OK, sounded like content differences in that post so if i'm reading this right it's reassuring. happy to buy on amazon and avoid the bonkers US shipping fees from LiC if it means missing out on a bookmark or something.The Console Chronicles — Lost In Cult

super helpful, thank you!! tbh i like some things and dislike some about both. i love the idea of an obi strip but it usually ends up being more of a hassle for me than anything. glad there's nothing major.Always meant to get around to posting comparisons, but here is the first Handheld history book and then the one from amazon;
In that last image the books are even on the back.
Same amount of pages, just different paper stock between the two. The extra width seems to just be a little bit of cutoff on the side of the page;
There are a small number of pages where the art/pictures go all the way to the edge that then have cutoff because of this but it is very minor and don't think it would be noticeable. I didn't reread the book so don't know for sure that there is no content changes but only difference I could notice offhand is the legal page at the front of the book.
Would expect the same different in this (console chronicle) book as there appears to be the same difference in the listings on amazon and the direct site. Obi strip and full cover art on the direct version and color coded cover title on the one from amazon.
I have never used them before, but I must of signed up to be notified about the book on the Sea of Stars website since it links you to it from there as well.

(though I guess they didn't do one for the second Handheld Chronicles book that I also didn't buy because I'm not made of money)
There isn't a way to cancel AFAIK either. Had to email them to get an order refunded the other day.Yeah that is a weird thing I also noticed. Wonder why that is.
In related news I'm dumb as fuck. Already knew about/had the Console book preordered directly from them and just forgot about it. Bundled it with the second Handheld book. Had to dig through my emails to find it since even though they have an account system there doesn't seem to be an easy way to just log in and check it.

how the hell did i miss this? a wipeout artbook? was there even a thread about it here on RE?
sucks that the limited edition is sold out, would have gone for the icaras or auricom one but the standard looks good as well. pre ordered!
there was a bit of a fuss here during the crowdfunding everybody went mad with their favorite team

I ordered the Xenoblade 3 art book from Amazon.jp and...appear to have somehow wound up with a locked account and canceled order. This is not my first time ordering on amazon.jp and I have ordered stuff to my current address and using my current credit card without issue - so I am not sure why my account got flagged for potential fraud.
Has anyone had this happen before? Is there any resolution other than calling them? I don't speak Japanese and I just imagine that's going to be a nightmare if I try to call and explain the situation.
This is a snippet of the email I got from them. And indeed when I try to log in I am not able to and it explains that my account has been locked.
